Let’s Go Shopping With the Jolie-Pitt Family!

While in Toronto for the Toronto International Film Festival to support

Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie made a stop at The Toy Shop to pick up some fun stuff to bring back to her kids. She always manages to look so perfectly pulled together, even when she’s just out all casual. I don’t know how she always wanders around in those high heels, I live for my flats! (Though I would be willing to learn if I was given a pair of awesome Christian Louboutin shoes!)

Now back in New York City, Brad and Angelina dropped Maddox off at school for the day, then they took Pax and Zahara to FAO Schwartz. Since I get two comments repeated frequently on this site, I’ll answer two questions that someone is bound to have based on these photos.

1. Why do they always carry their children when they’re capable of walking? Because of safety. If you’ve ever seen a photo showing the paparazzi surrounding the family you’d understand why they feel better keeping the kids up close. And also, I know that sometimes it is just a lot easier and faster to carry young kids if you want to get somewhere quickly. My oldest daughter can certainly walk but we get down the street more quickly if she occasionally takes a piggyback ride with my husband. But I’d guess it’s mostly for safety purposes.

2. Where is Shiloh, why is she so rarely out with them? Maybe Shiloh is at an age where she’s not so easy to take out in public, but I really have a feeling that she might be more bothered by the paparazzi because she’s so young and can’t understand at all as to why people are shouting at them. Some kids are more sensitive to noise and movement so she may stay home more often to protect her from the insanity. Okay! PSA done!

    Wow. Has anyone noticed that in this group of pictures, Angie is wearing heels and all of a sudden, is in those flat shoes? Are these photos being “touched?” And then she is back in heels?

    I have thought this many times (about photos being re-touched), that in (or on) favorable sites, Angie looks thin, but normal—-while on other sites, she looks anorexic.

    Who can one trust anymore…

    Some critics have said, well, other celebrities let their kids walk. Yeah but the size of the swarming papparazzi around the Jolie-Pitts compared to the next most hunted celebrities is like a nuclear bomb compared to sticks of dynamite.

    And the papparazzi are not the only ones to watch out for. Remember the woman who grabbed Brad in Venice? Lainey reported the Toronto crowd went ape-*** and rushed Angelina & Brad. 2 barriers almost collapsed & 2 security guys had to rescue Angelina.

    I mean really, have we forgotten John Hinckley murdering John Lennon to impress Jodie Foster? Naomi Watts just said today how totally uncomfortable it isto ta ke her baby out in public. The alternative, I guess, is to live completely behind a fortress and give up any semblance of normal life.

    Hasn’t Shiloh been seen with her family in numerous pics in the last few weeks? It seems to me that anistonistas pick on every little thing to trash Angelina. Maybe they don’t have kids of their own to keep them busy, or maybe they have too much time on their hands - that is, they have to get a life.

    More pictures thank you Sherry. She looks stunning & look at that bag, it goes with her outfit. Brad looks happy & as always very protective of Ange, look how he hold tight on Ange’s hand. Did you see the interview in Toronto the other night? Brad said, “she is the mother of my children & she means the world to me.” How sweet, Brad is starting to open up his feelings to Ange, that’s really good at least the haters will stop that nonsense accusations that Brad don’t love Ange. Now, Brad has actions & words to prove that he is really so in love with Ange & same as her to Brad. I’m glad that they finally decided to go to Toronto without the kids for a few days, they really deserves it, they’ve been working so hard, they finally were able to spend alone to themselves. Good for them. God Bless the Jolie-Pitt’s.

    I still LOVE what Angie has done with her hair! I love the color and the length on her!

    I think you are right, Sherry! She needs to hold those kids tight for safety reasons! I am proud of her taking them out so much, though. Many celebrities prefer to stay holed up rather than face the cameras so much and you can’t blame them!

    I agree that it’s easier to get around faster when you carry them, especially since Z has rickets. In addition, it is a behavioral bonding technique, which makes children feel safe.

    In Pague everytime Brad would pick Z and Pax up from school and would have them walk, they would be twisting and falling over. With a mom whose 5′8″ and a Dad who is nearly 6″ It definately makes the children feel connect and safe when they are in their arms or the parents bend down to their level. Maddox was carried until he didn’t want to be carried anymore. Even now, their a pictures of him being doted on and cuddled. With four kids, it’s difficult to carry all of them. When Shilou is with them, the girls are always carried, and the boys walk. Even though Pax is three years old, he still needs his bonding time also. Moreover, Shilou is at the stage where Z was when she was her a year old. Soon, Shilou too will be out carrying and showing her personality. Although Shilou almost seems too unresponsive amongs all the flashes. She almost seems oblivious, she is not scared and doesn’t react. I hope she dosn’t have autism. It is only a matter of time, before we will know. Until then, Viva BAMPZS!

    What are you talking about autism? Shi is very healthy, don’t start another story that the tabloids will talk about. That’s the reason why Brad & Ange don’t like having the kids around too much outside anymore but they have to because they need to enjoy the outside world. Don’t start any rumor. Brad & Ange tried hard to protect their kids specially to negative rumor.

    Sherry, great pictures. Thanks so much for allowing a glimpse of this couple. I think another reason they carry the kids is because the like them and want to keep them close for as long as possible. I think its a new trend in parenting. And I often wonder why Brad always wears that ring on his right hand - I think they are married. But I am okay with the choices THEY make for THEIR life.

    Love the sweatshirt! But I definitely prefer the whole package with flats. The pants do not work well with the heels, as lovely as those heels are.

    Haha! Shiloh doesn’t have autism. Some babies are just naturally not as squirmy and hyper responsive to stimuli. I was like that…probably more so. My parents thought something was wrong with me because I practically never cried or fussed! I was totally a “blob”! Lol! My take is that I was just a really good baby/child and didn’t bother the Rents! Haha! I turned out be a perfectly healthy, normal adult. Have a happy life, and can’t complain!!!

    Many have said this before, but I have to add my two cents worth. Could Princess Zee be any more cute? What a lovely child. With the parents’ sense of style, resources and good education she will turn out to be one heck of a beauty oneday.

    More on safety - imagine if the Pitt-Jolie kids were there…

    Lainey: Promised yesterday to tell you about the crazy near-riot situation on Saturday night in Toronto brought on by the deranged Brangelunatics.

    Following the premiere of the Assassination of Jesse James, Brad and Angelina were supposed to head over to Amber for the private after party. It’s late, around 11 or so. They were in the car when they were spotted by the crazies. All of a sudden a mob surrounds their vehicle and people are jumping out of their own rides from across the street, stopping traffic just to get close. At one point, there were a few freaks who had actually climbed ON to their car, completely blocking them from being able to drive away.

    As they tried to inch forward, some lady with a baby comes running, pressing her kid UP AGAINST THE WINDOW OF THE MOVING CAR!!! Brad’s publicist jumps out – she’s like: get your baby away from the car, someone is going to get hurt!!! And you know what the woman said? She said, “I don’t care, I want my baby to see Brad!!!”

    I’m glad you defended Shiloh on that one, Irma. This “Shiloh has autism” is really getting tiresome. People who say that obviously has no knowledge and experience dealing with autistic kids. I have seen them up close and personal since one of my son’s former classmates has it. Autistic behavior and mannerism are a far cry from Shiloh’s. On the contrary, Shiloh being always so observant is more a testament to her being a very intelligent and bright child.

    Irma you are an angel, who are these people. Do they understand that autism results in a lack of interaction with the surroundings. Shiloh however interacts with parents, and yes the stupid paps who engage her attention by shouting and using flash photography.

    She is bewildered and shocked at the commotion. Look at the pics in NOLA, NY zoo, Venice and you will see that with less paps in her face she interacts with her family just fine.

    Ligaya: I understand you! thanks for articles :( This is getting out of hand! Are you quoting Lainey? :lol: that woman has issues one minute she’s a fan next she whatever…

    Yeah, I check Lainey out. I’m relatively new to her site, and except for being critical during the “freedom of press” thing at the NY premiere of A Mighty Heart, she’s struck me as being pro-Brangelina. (shrug) I’ll keep an eye out.

    A million thanks for these lovely photos Sherry. I also read Lainey’s column daily. The thing is she is quite predictable. She likes Brad and Angie, of course her idol is Gwen Paltrow. She tolerates J. Aniston. After the TIFF, she is showing her adoration to Matt and Lucy Damon and was having a cow against Charlize T. She is able to attend and see celebrities in person. She attended Cannes and saw Brad and Angie and started to coin the words “jungle sex and Pitt porn” regarding their red carpet lovey dovey behavior. Sometimes, she gets her sources from JJ too. Anyway, back to Angie, she seems not to care for high class fashion but more on the practical what is comfortable to her. She just loves those designer high heels which I think cannot be too comfortable. But some people are so used to wearing them, they are not comfortable with flat shoes. I don’t notice what they wear at times I just look at their expression and how lovingly they carry their kids and hold hands.

    Zahara is one CUTE little girl!! I’ve gotta say that they just have cute kids. I agree with comments that I don’t believe that Shiloh has autism. She seems to be a more observant, serious-natured but happy baby. Just because a child isn’t giving a show for a bunch of strangers taking pics DOES NOT mean that there is something wrong with said child. Anyway, no one knows how this child really acts. Any professional would tell you that you need to be around a child often to really KNOW them. We get small glimpses which don’t tell you much at all.

    I think it is sad that anyone can jump to conclusions about Shi at such a young age. Everyone knows that babies are often bewildered by their surroundings and are just taking everything in! Brad and Angie will release a statement about her if ever need be. By the way, she is still a baby and most babies take 2 naps a day!!! No wonder she is not out and about so much! This family travels so much anyway—imaging how tiring it is for us adults to handle time zones/different jet lag, etc. Give them a break already!

    Thank sherry you dont know how much I LOVE THIS FAMILY this is my best family ever, Angie was looking so smart and so happy always in the happy mood and its not for the cameras only thats how she is even with her family you can see it in her eyes, I am happy for brad because they is something he is doing good for angie and the kids, thats why you find angie is happy they share the kids duties from picking them up from school, going to the park and etc that makes them so close to each other. Angie is always dressed smart, that is one smart girl, Guys the kids look so good, and they are so well behaved kids, you can imagine for kids loading them up in the car now and then with cameras in your face, these guys they no how to balance there family,and remember they will do it themselves all the time. I ALWAYS LOOK FORWARD TO READ ABOUT ANGIE AND BRAD FROM SHERRY’S BLOG

    Looks like Angelina got her hair cut. Her hair is usually flowing down to quite far her back, but now is just a little over her shoulder length. It is beautiful. Angelina always looks beautiful. And I love how she looked so demure with Brad.

    angelina is a very, very beautiful mommy inside and out. she has been blessed. i hope we will be able to see more pix of shi in the future cause they always managed to protect zee from the paps when she was that age. just love this family.
