Magazine article about Brad and Angelina’s kidnapping scare
Edited to add: Since I’ve gotten some ticked off emails, let me just say that I’m aware that not every last thing that gets printed is the gospel truth. I am aware that this story about the kidnapping plot may not be real. I do know that tabloids are often desperate and make up all kinds of stories about celebrities. That being said, I still think it’s important, as fans, to know what is going on in Brad and Angelina’s life - and that includes being up to date on what various publications are saying. Right now, there is no news coming out about them because they are laying low, and the news front is very quiet. If I only chose to post about things that are 100% guaranteed true, I wouldn’t have anything to post for days or weeks on end.
I would hope that after a month and a half of posting here almost daily that this is obvious, but for the record I am a huge fan of Brad and Angelina. I only post what is going on or what is being said. If you disagree with a post or have something to say about a news story, a photo, a tabloid article, whatever, by all means, please feel free to debate it. The one thing I love even more than Brangelina is the community going on here with all of you guys talking amongst yourselves in the comments - it’s fun! Just please remember to keep it respectful and kind, okay?
So yes, this story is a tabloid article but it’s one that is getting published all over the print world and the internet so it’s worth reading it to find out what’s being said so that we can all discuss it together. Enjoy!

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are on the cover of Life and Style Weekly - the headline is all about the kidnapping scare they allegedly had in regards to Pax. It could certainly explain the lack of recent photos of the family if they’re busy laying low to avoid any trouble. I still hope that it’s not true, of course. Just another junk story.Brad through his rep.,has denied this kidnapping story.Brad and Ang did express concern for their safety when traveling abroad.Brad was especially concern for Ang when shes traveling alone(doing U.N.work)or with the children abroad.Ang also commented that at times shes concern for her safety so she takes as many precautions as needed when shes away,or she(or others,body guards,authorities feel shes safe ect..)wont go unless its safe or has been approved.Ang says shes especially aware considering whats going on abroad.I read this in a news article when this so called kidnap story came out.This was the response Brads rep.gave out about the kidnap story.I read the response by Brads camp a few weeks ago.Thats one of the tabloid rags that his rep.responded to.So I’d assume more drama to sell their tabloid garbage.

One more thing,(a silly one but here it goes)’Brad and Angelina”out of sight but not out of our minds…We have to have to have news on them(’Warning’)it may not be kind…’Create’ drama..drama…thats what we will do…After all.. they want give us an interview..Sometimes ,I think this is what US weekly, Star and Life an Style ect…are doing.Please 4give my corny poem.Much respect and admiration for Brad and Angelina and family!Always.

Sherry, this is really irresponsible. Of all tabloid stories to post, one that actually endagers their children’s life. Why would any sane human being want to make up a kidnapping story that will only give people idea to harm this family. It is not enough to write lies about them breaking up every day or calling them names, the tabloids now have to resort to this since they can;t get a rise out of them. It is despicable and a site that purports to be fan site should not aid them in that. This going to a new low for the tabloids and it is sickening.

okey i just saw it at just jared. she looks happy talking w/ 2 guys probably st.john’s exec? anyway abt this kidnapping scare i’m 100% sure that its exaggerated! remember guys i told you that we shld.only believe people mag. esp. on angie! these tabloids us in touch life and style star enquirer ok hello are all against angie b/c she doesnt trust them for an interview. we all know that good or bad if its abt.our BAMPZS family tabloids will sell! thats how popular they are! they are the most sought after celebrity in hollywood right now! the best thing that we can do for our BAMPZS family is to pray for their health and safety at all times!

MM- If I didn’t mention what the tabloids are saying so that we can have a discussion about it, then there would be no updates here most days. The truth of the matter is that Brad and Angelina are heavily scrutinized by the tabloids and as fans I think we can see what they’re saying and then discuss it.
I really don’t see that as being any different than seeing a tabloid headline while I’m stuck in a doctor’s waiting room, flipping through a story, and then going to a friend’s house and saying, “Hey, did you hear that [tabloid name] said X, Y, and Z about [celebrity name]?! Isn’t that outrageous?”
It’s all about forming some discussion. If you think that it makes me less of a fan because I am willing to discuss what tabloids are saying while acknowledging that they aren’t true then we’ll just have to agree to disagree; I think what makes me a fan is that I support Brad, Angelina, and their kids and I am willing to discuss all points of view in order to defend them.
Also, I think you would have to be pretty sheltered to think that tabloids would cause someone to kidnap a child. If someone is sick enough to do that, a tabloid - and my post about it - isn’t going to be what made him/her decide to do it. The sad truth is that kidnappers exist and many celebrities have actually had scares; it wasn’t because someone wrote about it that some guy sitting at home said, “aha! Yes, I’ll do that!”
Again, we’ll have to agree to disagree.
