Namibia in pictures
Anouk Zijlma, the Africa for Visitors guide at About.com has posted some gorgeous pictures of Namibia on her About.com site. Anouk tells me that “they include shots of Swakopmund and Walvis Bay, the towns closest to where Brad and Angelina are staying. There’s also photos of the sand dunes where Brad went 4×4′ing and photos of traditional Herero women who would probably assist Angelina in her birth. The Welwitschia hospital where they assume Angelina will give birth is named after a desert plant which can live up to 1500 years. There’s a photo of the plant.”

Hi, who’s that guy who write here that’s from Namibia/africa? Cause i saw this article today & was wondering if he could translate it. It’s from a Namibian paper.
Namibië gáán Brangelina sien
ANGELINA Jolie en Brad Pitt, die beroemde Hollywoodse paartjie wat in Nambië kuier, gaan voor hul vertrek ‘n openbare verskyning maak vir “almal om te sien”.
Dié versekering is gister deur die goewerneur van die Erongo-streek, mnr. Samuel Nuuyoma, gegee nadat hy ‘n soveelste ampsbesoek aan Angelina in The Burning Shore op Langstrand gebring het.
Hy het ook ‘n sterk aanduiding van die geboortedag van die eerste eie baba van Angelina gegee. Mnr. Nuuyoma het gesê dit sal ná die geboorte van die kleinding wees. Volgens hom sal dit teen die einde van die maand of in die begin van Junie wees.
Oor hoe en waar die paartjie uit hul skuilplekke vir die publiek gaan kom, het mnr. Nuuyoma gesê besonderhede moet nog uitgewerk word.
Mnr. Nuuyoma het Namibië se presidentsvrou, me. Penehupifo Pohamba, verlede week ook na Angelina vergesel toe sy tydens ‘n ampsbesoek aan die sentrale kusgebied ‘n hoflikheidsbesoek aan die internasionale sterre gebring het.
Die Brangelina se besoek aan Namibië is beplan om vroeg in Junie te eindig. Pitt moet in elk geval dan terugkeer vir sy rol in sy volgende film, Ocean’s 13. In Ocean’s 13 speel Pitt saam met twee van sy groot vriende, Matt Damon en George Clooney.
Volgens Hollywoodse skinderbekke was Damon en Clooney die afgelope weke ook in Suider-Afrika, veral Clooney selfs ook in Namibië.

Those are some truly great pictures, I particularly like the ones of the Lion and animals at the “watering hole”. I wonder if I could set up my bow, er I mean my photography stand next to that watering hole!

Thanks for the pictures. These and the ones Mike post show that where Brad and Angie are staying is a beautiful place. Riding in those sand dunes had to be fun.
