New Brad Pitt as Benjamin Button photos!
October 27, 2008 by Sherry
Over at Film-o-Filia, there are three new photos of Brad Pitt in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. One appears to be when Benjamin is more or less the same age as Brad himself. Another shows him quite a bit older with long, gray hair and a receding hairline. I’m always so impressed when hair, make-up, and technology can make a character look drastically older or younger than the actual actor is.
In my previous post where I put up another trailer of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, reader JW was curious as to whether it’s really Brad in all the scenes. In response, BlessBrangelina mentioned that the director, David Fincher, used a special kind of technology to essentially put Brad’s face on other bodies at different ages, whether it’s a little baby or an old man.
Curious (no pun intended!), I looked it up and found that it’s called the Contour system, and there’s an interesting explanation of it over here if you’d like to learn a bit more about how it works.

Hmmm, I wonder if this is what Brad would look like in 20 years or so.
Thanks for the link, Sherry. It really is very interesting how much cinematic effects have changed over the years. And Brad…well, even as an old man, I’ll still be in love with him.
Brad is fascinating no matter what age Benjamin is. I had a chance to meet Brad’s mother a few weeks ago at the Mills Valley Film Festival – his movie mother, that is, the beautiful Taraji P. Henson (Talk to Me, Something New). She was kind enough to autograph my ticket stub. CCBB’s screenwriter Eric Roth (Good Shepherd, Forrest Gump) was being honored. Director David Fincher (CCBB, Fight Club, Se7ven) was there too. They showed an 8 minute clip of Brad and Tilda Swinton meeting every night for tea and conversation. Q&A: I asked why they relocated to NOLA from Baltimore – better locations and ambience. Instead I wish I’d asked if the filming had been affected by Katrina.

it’s so sad what happened in jennifer hudson’s family. all my thoughs are with them. i hope the coupable will be find and that justice ‘ll be make. poor little boy, only 7years old, it’s terrible.
I agree Melodie. So sad to hear about what happened to Jennifer Hudson’s family, especially her little nephew. Sometimes, when i hear of things like this I really wonder what the world is coming to.
Me too, Melodie and IsaCuie. It’s bad enough when someone passes away naturally or by accident, but by violence is the worst of all – especially when the innocent victims are children.
I was wondering, what is Julia Ormond’s role in this movie? Will be watching Changeling on Sunday. CCBB will be head to head with Marley and Me.
HELP HELP PLEASE HELP ME – why cant I see the photos????? all I get is a blackened image with “image not available” – can anyone help me with this??? or is there another site I can see them on???
I’m wondering too, Lucy.
Didn’t I predict this when IG started filming?:
