No London Wanted premiere
It seems that the Wanted premiere in London has officially been canceled. No word was given as to the real reason for calling it off, though some speculate that it could be a combination of Angelina Jolie being unable to attend and other scheduling conflicts.
The news itself comes from James McAvoy’s own website. He apologized for being the bearer of bad news. I’m sure a lot of fans in London who were eagerly anticipating the event will be disappointed but I’m sure the movie itself will still make up for it.
(As an aside, he also mentioned that he’s in the middle of moving from the UK to France - looks like everyone is heading to France!).
At this point it seems unlikely that we’ll be seeing Angelina Jolie at any of the other premieres. I’ve heard there’s a premiere in Berlin which isn’t very far from France so that is possible but it depends on how she’s feeling and how close to her due date she actually is since the real due date is being kept a well-guarded secret. As for the U.S. premiere, that’s almost zero possibility since she didn’t fly back for the premiere of Kung Fu Panda in Los Angeles either.
It’s disappointing to miss out on another wonderful Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie appearance on the red carpet, but it’s great to know that the Jolie-Pitt family is basking in their privacy in their French chateau, enjoying the grounds, the pool, and their family life. After all the sneaky photos of the family on the balcony at Paul Allen’s home, they must be thrilled to be able to enjoy themselves without any photos.

I am a bit disappointed that we are not going to see Brad & Angie on the red carpet for “Wanted” but then I’m glad to know that Angie is resting & relaxing before her due date. We will see more of them after the birth of the twins. For now, let them have fun with the family.
I’m still going to support Angie, Morgan & McAvoy’s movie “Wanted”. God bless the Jolie-Pitt’s.

i’m sure many anticipating fans from london is disappointed that angie can’t attend the premiere but isn’t it James McAvoy’s movie? i hope he can attend it along with Morgan Freeman, like Black Jack promoting KFP without angie.
i love angelina and james and i’m definetely gonna watch this movie.

I knew she was not going to do anymore promotions after Cannes.Everyone plese read the interview she gave to the The Australian Herald it’s on Soulie Jolie in the General Section,where she specifically said she was going to disappear for a month or two and so she is just living up to her words.This was something they had planned on doing after Cannes and she did just that,ET won’t admit they were duped they are just hanging onto the whole Angie hasn’t been seen in two weeks so the story must be true when all along she said she would disappear.

I’m sure she was given permission not to show up if she is uncomfortable to even be standing for a long time because of her condition. I bought the Vanity Fair today and trying to read the entire article. Goodnight to all!

I’m sad for the London fans who were looking forward to seeing not only Angie but the other stars of the film like James and Morgan. It is kind of strange that they canceled the premiere, but it’s probably not just because Angie couldn’t make it. Randi at bradpittwatch reports that there was a Berlin photo call for the movie (so there might likely be a premiere too), although Angie wasn’t there as well.

I’m disappointed too. Find it hard to believe that Ange not being able to make it is the sole reason why they’ve cancelled though. Alas, i am very pleased she is finally resting after all the work they have both done in the last year. They deserve it no doubt. I’ll be watching the film it looks ace.

They could have more reasons why they will not have the London Premiere of Wanted, I’ve seen that interview in Cannes that she said she will disappear for a couple of months, she probably wants to spend her time to prepare the other kids for the coming of their new siblings. I can’t wait for the arrival of the twins, I’m still guessing that they are both girls. Brad must be excited to add 2 more on the growing Family. God bless them.

Well, her comment about planning on disappearing was specifically referring to the months *after* the birth, but even so I’m sure she won’t want to travel a lot in the months leading up to it even if it’s just for her own comfort.
I still won’t pretend I’m not disappointed we won’t be able to see new photos of her for awhile, though, especially the opportunity for another red carpet. It’s sad but we probably won’t see much of this whole family for the majority of this year - Brad and Angie will be totally exhausted! I hope they hire an overnight nurse to tend the babies when they arrive, so they can at least get some sleep.

I am disappointed but also very happy for them that they can get peace and quiet to enjoy a normal relaxing life without the intrusion of the press.
I can’t wait to go and buy a copy of Vanity Fair now!!! That should keep me going until we see new pics of both her and Brad. I have to say, I think they are the best couple in Hollywood. They look fab, have the same interests and are so suited to each other.

Good for them! I’m really glad that Angelina and her family are able to have their privacy and concentrate on themselves. Like everyone else, I wish and pray for a safe, healthy delivery for her and the babies. And I hope both families can be there for them.
Just think, when they do start to make appearances again (Changeling, Curious Case of B.B.)We’ll be ooing and awwing on how good they look and how much the children have grown.

the fans should be happy if Brangelina are happy and not if they are hunted down for pics.
Angie did say that she wanted to hire someone for the night when the twins arrive (was it in the new VF?).

We will just have to be happy knowing that she is having a good rest and enjoying all the other children. I just hope that all will go well with the Jolie-Pitts. Saw on JJ that Angie’s brother James when to a basketball game last night with their father Jon. I believe that when we see both the Pitt family and James and hopefully his father go to France that it will be close to the delivery date. When they had Shiloh alot of their family members were there to help out.

Hi from London. I don’t think she will fly to Berlin. Europe is pretty small compared to the US and you can pretty much fly from France to everywehere on the continent in two hours. It’s even less if we talk about Berlin…
Can we blame all these celebs? I was raised between London, Italy and France and Provence is beautiful…

London premiere of Wanted disappeared from official London Council’s website that advertise cultural ‘what’s on’ in Central London,at the same time when ‘hoax’ news from ET came out about birth on 30/5!! So as nobody still saw Angelina ever since, how come we can be sure that she did not pop out already?? Maybe she after all, did give birth, and just is hiding from media, so once news broke out, they decided that they are not ready to deal with it yet?? Only time will tell..

Thanks Neela, oh my goodness can you image what Lara Ingram will do with this gun necklace or for that matter this whole interview. I loved it, I love and like Angie. She says what she means, you would always know where you stand with her. And I think that she and Brad are a perfect fit. They work so well together on being partners and parents. I finally feel like I read something honest about Angie. It is so true, she is either loved or disliked. Brad and Angelina are so lucky to have each other. I also liked that she was not afraid to say how she feels about Billy Bob and so now when the gossip mag’s say Angie is mad because Brad still loves Jen we will all know that is a bunch of bull. They are both grown up enough to know that they had lives before they met. Love this family

Thank you Neela for posting the EW link! I love the interview. Angie is as candid as ever and I like this interview much more than the one on the Vanity Fair. I do love the VF pictures, especially those that were shown inside. I do wish they had shown a full length shot of the cover. The dress is by Monique LLuhilier, a Cebuana from the Philippines, and I wanted to see the whole outfit.

Mary Ann, that interview is one of the best ones she’s done. She was so revealing, but there was nothing smutty about it. And it was revealing in a manner that indirectly negates a lot of tabloid concoctions. And I loved her response w/ regards to her “polarizing” personality … it just pretty much sticks it to the people who dislike her … I mean, to me, it’s not so much of a “she could care less about what people think,” but more about knowing the most important opinion, which is, essentially her own, and sticking to her convictions.

Lili, thanks for that info about Monique. I think people always mistake her for full-blooded French or something, but I remember her being featured in one of the San Francisco-based Asian-American or Filipino-American magazines.

EW interview says more about Angie & her family. She talks candidly about Brad, she calls him ‘Honey” that’s so sweet. I haven’t read the VF interview yet but some fans said EW interview was way better.
Lili May : I’ve seen pictures of Monique somewhere & I can’t believe that she is Filipina. Good for her, she gets to meet a lot of famous stars in HW.

I love Monique Lhuhillier’s (sp?) designs, and I love that a kababayan is in the top echelons of fashion.The ony other one I can remember was someone who designed high end lingerie - I forget her name.
That magazine was probably Filipinas - I think I read that article about Monique.

I don’t think Angie is the reason the premiere was cancelled either! There’s some sort of schedule problem for London I think, specially for the other stars!
