Off-topic - George Clooney

This isn’t news regarding Brad Pitt directly, but it is about one of his dearest friends as well as his co-star for his current film Burn After Reading. George Clooney and his girlfriend Sarah Larson were involved in an accident today; George and Sarah were riding a motorcycle in New Jersey when they were hit by a car.
Luckily, George suffered a hairline rib fracture and some road rash while Sarah suffered a broken foot. Not great but on a motorcycle it definitely could have been so much worse.
The accident seems to have happened when the driver of the car, a Mazda Millenia, allegedly tried to make a right turn from the left side lane. Brilliant driving, loser. However, George is such a trooper that he sent his lady off to the hospital in an ambulance when he saw that she had cuts on her face and an injury to her foot, and then he actually drove his own motorcycle to the hospital to meet her there for treatment. Naturally, the car’s driver was totally uninjured; the accident is pending an investigation.
I’m sure Brad will be visiting his good friend to make sure he’s okay, and hopefully the production crew will let George take it easy on filming until his rib heals completely.
Since so many of us love the incredible chemistry Brad and George share as co-stars on-screen and as buddies off-screen, I figured it was worth mentioning something like this.

Thank Heavens George wasn’t hurt worse! I’m from Kentucky, btw guys. George is a Kentucky boy, and we have to look out for our own.

You’ve made the right call, Sherry. I think George is a really great buddy of Brad. I saw how he jumped to shield Brad from the media during the premier of O12 in Japan, I think. The press has been hounding Brad about the breakup and he seemed quite vulnerable. George just quickly put himself in front of Brad and acted very protectively.
I don’t think that it is fair that people are trashing George and saying that he coattails on Brad or that he likes trashy girls or whatnot. In my books, he’s such a true friend to Brad. Brad’s life is treated with the utmost confidentiality. Great guys, both of them.
That’s so scary. Thank goodness they are OK.
Rachel, when George was in Cannes, Lainey mentioned a date (a blonde) who was with him, I think she was from Croatia. This girlfriend now, George met her in June at the Palms Hotel during the Oceans 13 premiere. She is or was a waitress there. She was one of the contestants of the show “Fear Factor” and she dated one of the contestants too, two years ago. I am happy they are both all right. George is a very close friend of Brad and Angie too.
I’m sorry to hear about George’s accident. Gotta admit, I used to not like the guy at all, but he kind of grows on you. Anyway, good to hear he and his girlfriend didn’t get more serious injuries.
I’m glad they are okay. I hope, it will not affect the filming of his new movie with Brad.
I love George and I am glad he was not badly injured, or his new girlfriend either!
