Official English “Salt” trailer!

It’s a lucky day for us! First we got to see Brad Pitt at the photocall and premiere of Inglourious Basterds earlier today. Now, I can also tell you that the English version of the official trailer for Salt is now available! This time we’re able to understand everything that’s being said, which is even better than the Russian trailer that was leaked yesterday.
Honestly, it doesn’t get any less exciting no matter how many times I watch it. Seeing Angelina Jolie jumping onto a truck, watching her hop off a subway, the way she runs two steps up the wall to punch someone in the face… all of it just makes me even more eager to see the whole movie.
It’s almost unfair of Sony to tease us this way, letting us see the trailer but knowing that Salt hits theaters in July 2010 – a date that feels really far away! I can barely wait!

Out of curiosity, aside from Angelina Jolie in Salt, what other big blockbuster movies are you looking forward to seeing?
It was just on access hollywood… previews for this film. Also Brad was discussing his motorcycle accident. He said he was trying to get away from the paparazzi.. and instead he ended up giving them a good story. Aw Brad, that sucks. :/ But he found humor in it nonetheless.
Oh and as far as other movies go, not really a big movie watcher, there are so many I have wanted to see and forgot about. Like the Orphan, and A haunting in Connecticut and a zillion others. But I am looking forward to Alice In Wonderland.
When it comes to watching movies in the theater I generally stick to high action films that are even better on the big screen. I’m looking forward to New Moon but will likely wait for the DVD. The next movie I’ll see in a theater will hopefully be 2012 which is right up my alley!
Wow! Instead of a run of the mill action thriller with a man in it like Tom Cruise or Matt Damon, WE’VE GOT OUR ANGELINA REALLY KICKING BUTT!! This movie looks more interesting cause its a woman being chased, and holding her own to boot! I can’t wait to see this movie…it’s really cruel and unusual treatment to give us this tease of a clip, but I’m still grateful for it. Thanks so much for posting. The entertainment shows had it as well, and Brad looked so CA-UTE with his wool hat and his black jacket. It reminded me of 2006 when he was carrying Zaharra as a baby in the airport. I may be in the minority, but I LOVE some of Brads hats, and this wool cap is my favorite. It’s really bohemian NEW YORK, and he looks like a guy’s guy who doesn’t reaaly give a FUDGE! I respect that….plus, he’s ALWAYS sexy, beard and all. I love him with a gotee!…it’s great when he ‘cleans up’ for some of the red carpet events and the Oscars, with his slic suits and Angie on his arm….he can get scruffy in the in-between time….it just shows he’s a MAN! Yum!
Sony was forced to upload the official english version today after the leaked russian trailer upload incident yesterday. I personally think that it’s a good thing that they’ve released the trailer earlier because it’s generating so much positive buzz right now. SALT is now included on almost every critics TO WATCH this summer movie.

9 months earlier but Sony seems to be confident that Salt will be a strong blockbuster. Action scenes in the trailer are de-ja vu. But we can expect more than the trailer. Scriptshadow readers recently ranked pre-Angie-script 7th among top25 scripts. I hope rewritten script hold old one’s superbness.

The project The Tourist, which the trades recently announced with such fanfare because it stars Angelina Jolie and now Johnny Depp, is already switching directors. The articles fingered Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck as director but he was not locked in and did not yet have a deal. Others say he’s off the pic because the producers found him “difficult and demanding”. To which Florian’s UTA defenders say: “Of course he’s demanding. He’s an auteur.” Now another UTA client, Alfonso Cuaron, is in talks to direct. Meanwhile, Depp is still another UTA client.

i have a question though..that movie isnt coming out until july of 2010, why are they starting with the trailer so early? Dont they usually advertize the movie about a month before it comes out?
heyhey, we can assume Sony is very confident that Salt trailer and Angie will garner much attention from bloggers and moviegoers. Then Salt will be listed as one of the top summer blockbusters even before summer season starts.

The idea of Angie and Johnny in the same movie has been my dream. I think they came from a same soul. It’s a soul thing. They are a brother and a sister in my mind. Johnny, please accept this movie !!! Sorry, I’m so exited.
English version is a lot better. I can’t wait to see Salt. Definitely something to look forward to in Summer 2010. I can watch the trailer over & over again & never get tired watching Angie in action. God bless the Jolie-Pitt family.

Depp is still in talks to play the hapless American tourist, and with the way this film is going, one can’t assume it’s finalized. But if it is, it might just be the casting coup of 2010. A Depp-Jolie pair-up has been something dreamed about by a lot of producers and studios over the years. Once upon a time, rumor even had them attached to play Cathy and Heathcliff in Wuthering Heights. People want to see them having onscreen sex. It’d be the hottest thing since … well, Brad Pitt and Jolie having sex onscreen. (And off. Hey, I’m just being honest. There was a reason everyone wanted to see their offspring.)
Johnny Depp and Angie! Hot, would love to see them together.
Sunny, I heard that Nikki Finke has Depp signed, sealed and delivered!! I can’t imagine how hot “The Tourist” will be with Jolie and Depp!!!
As for “Salt” . . . I’m looking forward to seeing it but I really wish they had not released the trailer this early!! July is EIGHT months away!! I’m going to have to keep busy to keep my mind off “Salt”!!! But, I’m wondering . . . is Angie playing a duel role, good girl and bad girl???? Is Evelyn Salt TWO people?? That would be fun!!

This is a movie that my husband will sit in a movie house to see. Looking forward to it. As for a Jolie-Depp matchup, WOW, WOW. And I agree with joliepittfanatic, the gossip magazines will have a field day with that matchup.
Salt looks awesome, but I am really excited to hear about a potential Jolie-Depp matchup! I love both of them and would love to see them in a movie together!
Re AJ & JD on “The Tourist”
This is the possible screen pairing that I am really looking forward to see.
The last time i was very, very excited about A-Listers teaming up was the legendary AJ & BP on MAMS.
Now, AJ & JD will really explode on screen because of their awsome, strong presence & depth in acting or performance. Every second, every scene is definitely worth seeing & we should never blink.
If ever it’s gonna be done, even if for instance the movie didn’t reach public’s high expectations, their pairing would probably make up for it just like what happened to MAMS. Because of AJ & BPs charisma both individually & as a couple, it was the saving grace of MAMS somehow. So I believe because of AJ & JD have also strong screen presence, the film would be fine. However, I still hope if everything pushes through (from the cast to the director to the script), the film will be critically & commercially successful.
Now, I am really keeping my fingers crossed.

Re “Salt” Trailer
When it’s AJ doing a film with familiar theme or gist, it really makes a lot of difference, because it is her on it, not any actor or actress.
She has this extra “it” that you want to watch the movie right now, not next year.
She just happens to have credibility as an action star who can act plus always a sight to behold.
Sony’s marketing strategy is really working. It makes people get excited.
Now, it’s in the news, all over the world of blogs, same with AJ & JD’s possible team up in “The Tourist”.

That trailer is just awesome! I can´t wait to see the movie. I read somewhere that the Finnish premiere is on September 10, 2010. I can´t wait that long! Angie is really good in this movie. Another actionpacked Angie movie. I love those movies in which she´s doing he own stunts and in this one she seems to be doing them a lot. God bless the JP family!

I look at the younger Angie version & Shi look like Angie but still you can see her daddy’s so many facial features,blue eyes, blonde hair, nose while she got her mommy’s lips. Shi will be a beautiful woman when she grow up for sure.I can’t wait for SALT next year.

I hope it won’t be like “Enemy of the State” with Will Smith. It sounds kind of similar. Really love the action scenes but Angelina’s hair looks fake. We all know it is but it still doesn’t look good.
Went to see 2012 and they showed this preview! the audience seemed interested and I cannot WAIT to see this movie. Angelina looks awesome in it. YAYYYYYY!
