As we enter into the weekend, I kept thinking of the cute photos of Brad Pitt out with Zahara the other day and I thought, you know what we need? More Brad. Lots more Brad.
I’m looking forward to a weekend with a bit of relaxation, so hopefully this video will offer you some as well.
The song is one of my old favorites, “Kiss Me” by Sixpence None the Richer. Enjoy!

Although Angelina Jolie has been laying low, getting to know her new babies, X17Online has photos up showing that Brad Pitt had a date with his mom and his oldest daughter, Zahara. His dad was apparently there too, but there were no pictures of him that I could see. The group went to a museum in Saint-Paul France, soaking in a bit of culture together, then hit up La Colombe d’Or for something to eat.
Check out the photos of Brad Pitt with Zahara and his parents here!

Back when we were discussing movies we’d love to see with Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, many people expressed an interest in seeing Angelina return as Lara Croft in another Tomb Raider installment. Looks like it’s not going to happen.
Apparently the role of Lara Croft will be resumed by someone new, 23-year-old Alison Carroll. You can check it out over here.
(I was amused by the story about how she got locked in her apartment the day of her big meeting with producers and had to throw her bags over the first-floor balcony, leaped over, and jumped the fence to get there.)
It will be interesting to see how she holds up. To me, Angelina Jolie will always be Lara Croft so I’m not sure how well I can accept a new version. It would be, to me, as if they replaced Harrison Ford as Han Solo in Return of the Jedi.
On the other hand, if Angelina does indeed take on the new CIA role sometime next year, she’ll still have plenty of time for high action stunt work!
Edited to add: I read this late last night, after a very long and tiring day. As a result I misunderstood and didn’t realize that this new girl is not starring in an upcoming movie, she is simply the new promotional girl for the game. Sorry for the confusion.
However, now I’d like to open it up for discussion and ask you all who else in Hollywood could play Lara Croft if Angelina Jolie did not take the role for a hypothetical new Tomb Raider film? If it can’t be her, who’s your next choice? The only person I can think of off the top of my head is maybe Jennifer Garner because of her great work on Alias. The biggest problem there, though is that she doesn’t quite look the part. She’s very pretty but she’s more of the “girl next door” look whereas Angelina really did look like Lara Croft is supposed to.
Ideas?

According to Variety, the movie Edwin A. Salt may be re-written specifically for Angelina Jolie. The movie was originally going to be a Tom Cruise film, but things have changed. Once Angelina had made note that she liked the project, thoughts started whirling as to how it could be changed to fit a female lead instead.
The role would be that of a CIA officer accused of being a Russian spy who then needs to prove her innocence while still avoiding being captured. Considering her ability to play an assassin - twice - as well as a tomb raider, I have no doubt that Angie could pull off portraying someone in the CIA on the run.
The title of the movie will be changed if the re-write does happen, assuming she takes the role. There’s no word yet as to when shooting would start, but obviously it won’t be too soon since Angelina gave birth so recently and Brad is going to start filming in the Fall for his upcoming film with Quentin Tarantino.
There was also a brief mention of the ongoing hope that someday she will get to star in the film adaptation of Atlas Shrugged.
The full story is here.
As a woman, I have to say that I love the thought of a male role being recast for an actress. What do you think of this new development?

I was shocked on Saturday morning to read that Bernie Mac had passed away. At only 50 years old, it didn’t seem possible, and the last thing I had read about him sometime last week was that he appeared to be responding well to treatment for the pneumonia that had hospitalized him at the beginning of the month. It’s a terrible loss and I feel so sad for his family.
Aside from being a comedian and having acted in a great deal of movies, Bernie Mac was in Ocean’s 13 with Brad Pitt.
Brad issued a statement, saying, “I lament the loss of a ferociously funny and hardcore family man. My thoughts are with [his wife], Rhonda, and their family. Bernie Mac, you are already missed.”
George Clooney issued a similar statement: “The world just got a little less funny. He will be dearly missed.”
Such an incredibly sad story.

It seems to be official now - according to Variety, Brad Pitt has officially signed on to play a role in Quentin Tarantino’s Inglorious Bastards.
Hang on. I have to go breathe into a paper bag. Brad Pitt and Quentin Tarantino. This makes me SO HAPPY.
Okay, all better now.
According to the article, most of the movie will be in French or German with subtitles; however, Brad will still speak English, playing a “Tennessee hillbilly who assembles a team of eight Jewish-American soldiers to take on the Nazis”.
There had been rumors that Leonardo DiCaprio would be cast in a role as well, though there is no mention of it now; he may have had scheduling conflicts. Casting is predicted to be finished within the next couple of weeks.
Because of the location of the film itself, it makes sense for Brad to choose to take on this role. By the time actual filming gets started, the babies will be a bit older and filming will be done nearby, in parts of France and Germany, so hopefully the Jolie-Pitt family will be able to remain at the chateau.
(Thanks, Ligaya, for the heads’ up!)

I’ve noticed in the comments section that some of you are trying to make arrangements to send each other copies of People and Hello! if they aren’t sold in your area, and that some of you are asking friends and relatives in the U.S. to send them to you. When people want to see Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, and their kids in a huge photo spread, things happen!
I wanted to alert you to something that reader Sharon emailed me about. There is a website called Zinio which allows you to purchase digital copies of many popular magazines. I went to the site and couldn’t find People but I did find Hello! under the entertainment listing.
She also sent me a copy since apparently you can send some to friends once you purchase it - It’s quite neat really. It’s like having the full magazine right there on your screen.
While I know a lot of people would like to have the physical copy of the issues featuring photos of Brad, Angelina, Vivienne, Knox, Maddox, Pax, Zahara, and Shiloh, if that isn’t an option for you, this might help a little!
Thanks Sharon!

Just because Knox and Vivienne are causing a commotion, it doesn’t mean a big guy can’t celebrate his 7th birthday in style. Maddox Jolie-Pitt and dad Brad Pitt hit the go-karts for his birthday. They headed to a Karting track in Brignoles, France and together they had a great time racing. Apparently they also got some pizza delivered to the track for a quick bite to eat. Check out the photos over here.
It just goes to show that even with two brand new babies dominating a lot of time, Brad and Angelina make sure to devote time to each of their kids, especially on such a special day.
I’m so glad Maddox got to do something really fun on his birthday!

Okay, let’s see a show of hands. Just for fun, I’ve created a little poll to see how many of you bought People, how many bought Hello, and how many bought both.
Did you buy People or Hello to see Knox and Vivienne Jolie-Pitt?
I’d love for you to participate!

The first video clip from Angelina Jolie’s upcoming movie Changeling has been released. This isn’t an actual trailer for the film, but it does show them moment when Angelina’s character, Christine Collins, comes to the train station to greet her son - and realizes that he is not her son at all.
Just that small clip of barely more than a minute is gut-wrenching. As a mother myself, I get the feeling that this movie is going to be gripping and moving.
Sadly, Changeling is based on a true story where a young woman’s son goes missing and is later found, and Christine Collins has to fight to get people to believe her when she says he’s not the right boy.
I can’t wait for the actual full trailer, and more importantly, I can not wait to see the movie! The movie will be released October 24 but for limited theaters. I’m not sure when the full release will be. Who else is eager to see Angelina Jolie in Changeling?
