Video clip of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie leaving Dolce Vita
December 2, 2009 by Sherry
In the comments section of my post about Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s evening at Dolce Vita PittWatch reader Angela shared a video that she had found of the two of them leaving the restaurant. Check it out!
I love the way they both start laughing once they’re in the car, giggling like little kids together. Several readers said they think Brad jokingly bugged the photographers by saying, “out of the way assholes”. I haven’t been able to determine that for sure but it sounds very possible (though he said it with a smile) and all the paparazzi start saying, “oooh!” in reply. Seems like that was the reason for the laugh-fest inside the car.
It’s only a brief clip but I do enjoy seeing little slices of their life when Brad and Angelina are obviously having fun together.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s “Dolce Vita”
December 1, 2009 by Sherry
I can’t think of a better way to kick of the month of December than to find some beautiful photos of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie leaving “La Dolce Vita”.

Brad and Angelina dined at the restaurant, enjoying a Monday night date night together in Beverly Hills. When you’re dating and don’t have children it’s often a Friday or Saturday night that you use for dining out together. When you have children, you take what you can get!

It seems that Brad was wearing his current “uniform” of dark clothing and his beanie cap. He’s also still sporting the beaded beard, sorry to those of you who can’t stand it!
I don’t personally care for Angelina’s shiny black pants but I love her blouse. We’re so used to seeing her in dark or neutral shades that it was a nice surprise to see that she chose such a vibrant chartreuse color!

Video clip of Brad Pitt and Quentin Tarantino on Japanese food show
November 30, 2009 by Sherry
I have no idea how I never saw this before but when Brad Pitt and Quentin Tarantino were in Japan to promote Inglourious Basterds they both appeared on some sort of Japanese food & talk show. From what I’ve understood, the concept is that they invite people on the show, prepare a meal for them, and while they wait for it they sit around and chat. By the way, that’s a fabulous idea!
The host doesn’t speak English so they have a translator, but if you watch the bottom of the clip there are some subtitles so you can understand what the topic is.
In the clip, we hear the story about how Brad and Quentin drank seven bottles of wine and in the end all Brad remembered was that he had said yes, he would do the movie. I know there were some raised eyebrows about that but I think that it’s meant as humorous exaggeration. And if it’s not, well we all got a great movie out of it, right?
However, all the joking aside, Brad says that he knew the idea for Inglourious Basterds had been floating around for awhile so when he heard Quentin had prepped a script and sent it to him, by the time it arrived on Brad’s desk he pretty much already knew he was going to take it. Quentin did add that Brad left him hanging for just a little while to make him “miserable” rather than saying yes right away. Clearly these two have a very compatible sense of humor!
Brad brings up the desire to do a prequel again, and Quentin mentions the hopes for a trilogy. Considering how well they seem to work together, I think at least the prequel would be amazing!
I also enjoyed when they all started talking about Japan; Brad says he’s lost count of how many visits but that he loves Tokyo tremendously and he goes on to mention that since his kids all love Totoro they always end up running around trying to find as much as they can. Quentin adds that he likes to come and buy toys for himself as well as DVDs and music that he can’t get in the U.S. and that he always has to buy a new suitcase just to pack all the souvenirs he buys.
If you’d like to see more, there are two additional clips of Brad and Quentin on the talk show below the cut!

Happy birthday Pax Thien Jolie-Pitt!
November 29, 2009 by Sherry
It’s so hard to believe that Pax Thien Jolie-Pitt is already six years old today! It seems like it was just yesterday that Angelina Jolie went with Maddox to pick him up from the orphanage and he was so small and young.

After all this time he’s now part of a big family that he never could have imagined. To me it’s always seemed like he and Zahara are thick as thieves, often walking around holding hands (and I’ll never forget those pictures of Zahara feeding Pax a snack in the yard in Prague), and I’ll bet he and Maddox have tons of fun together.

I can’t even begin to imagine what Pax’s life would be like if Angelina had never adopted him. His life is so much richer than it ever could have been, and he’s a lucky little boy – and the Jolie-Pitt family is just as lucky to have someone who seems like such a wild streak of happiness in their lives as well!

Happy birthday Pax Thien Jolie-Pitt!
I have a great video of Pax and the family that Kimmy sent me, it’s below the cut…
Friday Flashback: Brad Pitt in Ace of Base music video
November 27, 2009 by Sherry
It’s Friday Flashback time! Back in 1994 when Brad Pitt had movies like A River Runs Through It and True Romance under his belt, he also made an appearance in something else that not everyone remembers – in fact some people might be unaware of it altogether.
Brad Pitt appeared in the Ace of Base video for “Don’t Turn Around”, although all he really did was sit around looking good. There wasn’t much of a story to the video, but that’s okay because honestly – who minds looking at Brad, right?
I had forgotten about Brad being in the music video until someone reminded me the other day. I do remember watching the video (because I confess, I used to listen to Ace of Base) and thinking, “hey isn’t that the guy from Thelma and Louise, the guy with the cowboy hat and the great butt?” Indeed it was.
Enjoy!

Potential Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp sex scene?
November 25, 2009 by Sherry
According to People.com there’s some steam coming our way in Angelina Jolie’s upcoming film, The Tourist. If the information is true, there’s supposed to be a fairly sensual sex scene between Angelina and her potential co-star Johnny Depp.

Naturally this has started up the gears of those who like to report trouble in paradise at every possible moment so if it is indeed part of the film we can expect the tabloids to have a field day. Personally, I couldn’t possibly care less. Love scenes and sex scenes are frequently part of movies. Even in end-of-the-world disaster movies it’s not unusual to see two characters suddenly stop fighting the apocalypse for a bit so they can fall into bed together. Angelina can’t – and shouldn’t have to – avoid every role that may or may not have a sex scene just because of what people might say.
Of course there are going to be those who will point out that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie had a steamy sex scene of their own in Mr. & Mrs. Smith and then later ended up together but that argument holds no water for me. I recall having to fan myself during the sex scene between Angelina and Antonio Banderas but there was no off-screen romance there. Brad has had sex scenes in many of his movies and that didn’t lead to anything either.
A few people have expressed concern over this news, both in comments and via email to me, but the solution is as simple as it is any other time – do the same thing that Angelina Jolie does – ignore the tabloids, because we all know they write whatever they can as long as it sells!
(By the way, I said that Johnny Depp is her potential co-star because I don’t recall reading anything that has confirmed he has accepted the role. Has anyone read something where it’s 100% confirmed or are they still working out the details?)

Make It Right wants you to go green
November 24, 2009 by Sherry
Brad Pitt and Make It Right have already done so much to help the people of New Orleans and MIR is now trying to help others be as green as they can be on top of that.
Their website has expanded recently to include some educational blogs, including “Green Technology” and “Rebuilding”. For anyone who has an interest in making their home as environmentally friendly as possible it’s a great resource that includes articles, tips, and video.
They also added a great gallery of completed Make It Right homes so we can all see the new homes residents of the Lower Ninth Ward have been able to move into after being stuck in limbo for so long.
While you’re there, if you’re celebrating the American Thanksgiving this week or are preparing for December’s holiday season, maybe you can make a little donation to help a family in need if you have the means. It’s great to support Brad Pitt while he supports New Orleans and it’s awesome to see how well Make It Right is doing.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie donated more than $6 million in 2008
November 23, 2009 by Sherry
We already knew they’re generous with time and money when it comes to charitable causes, but Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie walk the walk when it comes to donating.

According to their tax return for the Jolie-Pitt Foundation, in 2008 Brad and Angelina gave $6.4 million to charity in their joint efforts. If I’m not misunderstanding, that doesn’t include their own individual donations to various causes, just the ones the worked on together.
They gave $2 million to Global Health, $1 million to Human Rights Watch, $1 million to the Make It Right Foundation, and $1 million to various Cambodian projects (presumably through the foundation in Maddox Jolie-Pitt’s name). The remaining funds went to a variety of other causes and projects.
Way to go Brad and Angelina!

Brad Pitt returns to L.A. after quick visit to France
November 21, 2009 by Sherry
The other day, Brad Pitt was spotted flying into Los Angeles from Nice, France after a short visit across the ocean. Once Brad was stateside he had to be escorted by police and security to his car just to avoid a mob scene!

Although there’s no official word as to what he was doing overseas, the last time that Brad went to France by himself for a few days it was evidently to check on Miraval. Shortly after his visit, the whole family went over for the majority of the summer.
It stands to reason then that Brad may have been preparing Miraval for the return of his family. If they don’t have any set projects that are starting up right now – or in the near future – then there’s no reason why Brad, Angelina, and the Jolie-Pitt kids can’t just head out to France for a little while.

I love when Brad and Angelina take the kids to France. They do still get photographed but it’s usually from a respectful distance and they generally seem to enjoy more overall privacy. It seems that when they’re in Los Angeles, the paparazzi capital of the world, they almost find they can’t go out as often. When they’re in France it feels like they’re regularly out shopping or hitting the flea markets and that just sounds like a much more fun way to live.
I’ll be keeping an eye out for more details to see if Brad and Angelina are indeed returning to France for a little while!
