Fans waited for months, asking the question - “Is Angelina Jolie pregnant or not?” Once we finally saw the undeniable pregnant belly, another wait began as everyone wondered when her real due date was and when her little Jolie-Pitt twins would be born. The paparazzi waited for her to leave the hospital, hoping to catch even a blurry shot of Knox and Vivienne Jolie-Pitt but were foiled when Angelina slipped out in the middle of the night, more or less undetected.
And then we all waited for the exclusive first photos. Now, finally, here we are - thanks to People magazine, please take a peek at the official first photos of Knox Leon Jolie-Pitt and Vivienne Marcheline Jolie-Pitt and welcome them to the crazy world of being the babies of massive celebrities.
You can also see another cover photo here, from Hello.
So exciting!!!
(By the way, that photo up top of Shiloh holding Vivienne? I’m a sap but it brought tears to my eyes.)

While we’re waiting for the release of the first photos of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s twins, Knox and Vivienne, I thought I’d point you in the direction of a great video that shows the first four Jolie-Pitt children as they’ve been growing up.
This YouTube video (thank you Ligaya, for the heads’ up) shows Maddox, Pax, Zahara, and Shiloh set to Lullaby by The Dixie Chicks and it reminds me of how quickly they’re growing up and changing. Can you imagine the changes we’ll see from the upcoming first photos of Knox and Vivienne to some day a year from now?
In other news, according to this article, People magazine sold 2.2 million copies of their issue that featured the first world-exclusive photos of Shiloh Jolie-Pitt. It was one of their best selling issues, eclipsed only the the 4+ million copies of the post-9/11 issue.
I wonder how many copies this Jolie-Pitt twins issue will sell. It seems like everyone is highly anticipating it, so the sales could go through the roof again. It will be interesting to see the numbers at some point in time.
(Thanks to Ligaya once again, for the link to the article!)

Don’t forget that tonight at 7pm Eastern time, People.com will release a teaser of the first, world-exclusive photos of Knox Jolie-Pitt and Vivienne Jolie-Pitt. I assume they’ll show us the cover of the upcoming issue, and maybe we’ll be lucky enough to see one or two other photos, but no one knows for sure exactly how much we’ll get to see online.
A couple of people asked in the comments why People would show us any photos of the babies online before the magazine hits news stands, because why would people bother to pay for it if they can get the photos for free online.
Well here’s a good answer - according to Gawker, rumor has it that the issue of People closed with a 30-page spread of Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, and not only the new babies, but all the Jolie-Pitt children.
Even I’m shocked by that. It’s pretty obvious by this site that I love the Jolie-Pitt family but I never would have guessed a magazine would put in a 30-page spread. On the other hand, it almost makes sense. Many magazines do put out special issues following a pop culture phenomenon, such as television shows. I still have a couple of issues of various magazines that were dedicated almost solely to the once-popular Buffy the Vampire Slayer and as a teenager I used to love buying magazines dedicated to my favorite bands or actors. With the intense following of Brad, Angelina, and their family - by both fans and naysayers alike - it’s not unreasonable to think that people would be interested in seeing a huge portion of a reputable magazine dedicated to the Jolie-Pitt family.
So now I’m even more curious about picking up a copy of People when it’s available so that I can see if it’s true or not! The best part of this rumor is that it’s not just photos of Brad, Angelina, Knox, and Vivienne. I’m glad that Maddox, Pax, Zahara, and Shiloh aren’t being left out just because they’re not the brand new babies.
Unfortunately, I won’t be able to post the photos released by People this evening for legal reasons, but I will be around to link directly to the post on their site as soon as possible. Stay tuned!

The rumors were true! According to the People.com website, they will be showing the world exclusive first photos of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s twins this weekend!
We’ll be able to see photos of Knox and Vivienne Jolie-Pitt on Sunday, August 3rd and 7 pm Eastern time. The issue should be on sale on news stands the following day, if I’m not mistaken.
This is so exciting!
Meanwhile, overseas rights have gone to partner Hello magazine. Again, none of this is a big surprise since these magazines have always worked well with Brad and Angelina and when they make a mistake they retract it. You’d think that the other magazines would have figured this out by now - being nice pays off.
Speculation is that the photos went for somewhere between $11-15 million, which is substantially lower than the crazy numbers a lot of people were throwing out there in the beginning, but is still a world record amount for celebrity baby photos. As always, Brad and Angelina will be giving the money to charity.
I can not WAIT to see the photos! Stay tuned!

Between all the news about Venice, the anticipation over the upcoming photos of Knox and Vivienne Jolie-Pitt, and discussing possible movie roles (a few places are now saying that Brad Pitt is almost 100% signed for the Quentin Tarantino film!), I thought maybe you could all use a great video full of really great (and hot) photos of Brad Pitt.
Because, really, why not?!
While that song has lost its charm, it works well in the video, and the photos of Brad? Well, they definitely work for me! Enjoy!

Although Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have been keeping a low profile since the birth of their babies, Knox and Vivienne Jolie-Pitt. Also, as we all know, Brad has started to threaten legal action against privacy-invading photos, which is especially good what with the creepy pap who trespassed on their property.
But there’s no need to despair. Aside from the hope that we’ll see the babies soon on a People cover, People is also reporting that Brad Pitt and George Clooney will be attending the Venice Film Festival to promote and show the premiere of Burn After Reading.
We haven’t seen Brad on the red carpet since Cannes, so I’m looking forward to it! No word for sure whether Angelina Jolie will also appear on the red carpet in Venice. They always support each other so she’ll likely want to go, it will just depend on how things are going at home.
The Venice Film Festival opens on August 27th, which is the same day that Burn After Reading will premiere, so she might be able to go. It would only be a short visit, and it wouldn’t be too big a deal for them to fly from France to Italy for a day or two; they could probably even bring the babies - or all of the kids - with them for a little getaway.
I can’t wait to see Brad Pitt on the red carpet again!

With the recent rumors of the possibility of Angelina Jolie playing Catwoman in a future movie, I’ve been wondering what movies you’d like to see our favorite couple star in at some point in time.
Let’s discuss it, shall we? What movie would you love to see star Angelina Jolie ? What about Brad Pitt?
I think it’s safe to say that many of us would enjoy seeing them in a movie together again, like we did back in Mr. & Mrs. Smith, but that’s not too likely, at least while the kids are still young since they try very hard to avoid working at the same time unless they have no choice due to overlapping obligations.
I’ll go first. While I think Angelina Jolie is an excellent choice for Catwoman, I’m with many of you who said it would be more fun to see her do a Tomb Raider 3. I absolutely loved the first one and despite the fact that sequels often suck, the second one was great as well. I would love to see her take on Lara Croft again.
As for Brad Pitt, I just finished reading an excellent book called Three Cups of Tea: One Man’s Mission to Promote Peace One School at a Time. The book is a true story following an American mountain climber named Greg Mortenson who gets lost coming down from K2 and ends up in a tiny village in northern Pakistan. When he sees that the children sit outside in the cold and scratch out math equations in the dirt with sticks in an attempt to have an education, he promises to come back and build a school for the village. It takes him three years but he does it and over ten years builds 50 schools in the northern part of Pakistan, including refugees from Afghanistan trying to escape the Taliban regime. I think, even though he looks nothing like Greg physically, Brad could really play the part well and I loved the book so much that I would love to see it on the big screen.
Your turn! Tell me your dream roles for the Jolie-Pitt duo!

According to JustJared, People magazine is the winner in the bids to get the first official photos of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s new babies, Knox and Vivienne.
It’s not like we would have expected anything else - PittWatch readers know full well that Brad and Angelina have a good relationship with People.
Numbers in the double digits are still being tossed around - between $10 and $15 million. We’ll probably never know for sure. No one has ever confirmed any amounts ever paid to any celebrities for their baby photos, so it’s total speculation.
Thus far, it’s not certain which issue of People will have the coveted Knox and Vivienne cover, but keep an eye out!
Also, and I thought this was cute, someone from Food and Wine contacted me this morning to let me know that they have put together a list for Brad and Angelina of restaurants to accommodate larger families, as well as some recipes. It made me smile to read a nice, kid-centric list of food and restaurants that wouldn’t be shocked by a family of eight people.
Now, to wait for the People issue to come out!

Oh, be still my heart. Today my travels around the Internet have brought about a new Angelina Jolie movie rumor, although it’s still unconfirmed and nothing has been said about when this movie role would happen. Allegedly, there’s some talk about having Angelina Jolie play Catwoman in some future Batman film.
I can’t tell you how insanely happy that would make me. I’ve seen all the Batman movies except the new one (it’s on my list of course), but as much as I love Batman, I love Catwoman more. She’s long been my favorite superhero/villain character. I loved Michelle Pfeiffer in the role, she really brought out the sex appeal of the character. I haven’t seen the movie with Halle Berry though I heard several people say she did it well. My problem with both Michelle and Halle is that I don’t really see them as action stars (although Halle was killer in the X-Men movie).
On the other hand, Angelina is sex appeal personified and on top of that she’s an established action star. I really think she could play the heck out of Catwoman.
According to this site, Julie Newmar, who was the original Catwoman (and pictured above) said, “Angelina would own the part. My industry friends tell me she has already made enquiries about the role.”
Like I said, nothing has been confirmed yet, and since the latest Batman is just in theaters now, it wouldn’t be for awhile I guess. She has a lot on her plate right now with her kids and any possible obligations for film promotion (premieres) coming up with the release of Changeling. Also, according to IMDB (which is not always reliable, so take it with a grain of salt), she’s set to play a part in a movie in 2009.
But I would love it so much if it was true and I could eventually see Angelina Jolie playing Catwoman. She would be so perfect for the role.
What do you think?
(Unrelated to this news, I wanted to let you all know that I have put up a guideline as to the comment policy here at PittWatch since I get so many questions about it, especially with the influx of new readers lately who aren’t sure how it all works. You can read it and leave comments over there with any questions you might have.)

Over at TMZ.com, they have a picture taken of one of the two trespassing paparazzi who had attempted to get sneaky photos of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie at Miraval the other day. You have got to check it out.
Honestly, look at that guy. Look at HIS CAMERA. That’s practically a telescope. I have an excellent zoom lens, a 70mm-300mm lens which gets great shots of birds and wildlife and that lens is maybe the length of my forearm when fully extended. So when I look at this enormous piece of photographic machinery hanging off that pap’s arm, I am shocked and can’t even imagine what kind of extreme close-ups he could have gotten from fairly far away.
I’m sure that Brad and Angelina won’t be taking Knox and Vivienne outside for awhile knowing about this.
I wonder if they’re going to beef up security and hope for the best or if they’re going to pack the family up and try to move somewhere else with more privacy. Of course, if the Jolie-Pitt family moves to another country, you know the smack-talkers will start saying that they’re uprooting their children again and why can’t they stay in one spot, so on and so forth, but I would feel so violated and I know my instinct would be to go, go, go. I don’t care how many people snark and say that they’re celebrities and this is what you get for being famous, everyone - EVERYONE, even the Queen of England and every leader of every country - is allowed privacy in their home and the grounds surrounding them. Brad and Angelina and all their kids deserve to feel safe when they’re outside.
I really do hope that Brad Pitt starts suing everyone who takes a photo of any of them on their private property. Maybe then the madness will stop. Public photos? Yes, please! Private home photos? No thanks.
