Pax Jolie issued his American Passport
A news blurb out of Hanoi has declared that Pax Thien has been issued his American passport and an immigration visa on Tuesday. This will allow him to come to his new home back in the U.S. to see his new father, Brad Pitt.
Angelina Jolie arrived at the US embassy on Thursday and left after 45 minutes; despite the attempts of photographers, no photos were managed. Angelina has been keeping a low profile in Hanoi, likely due to the paparazzi scaring Pax back in Ho Chi Minh City.
Vietnam’s International Adoption Department director Vu Duc Long says that she may leave Vietnam as early as tonight though some have said that she will wait until Wednesday.
Brad was unable to accompany Angelina to Vietnam due to being under contract for filming in Los Angeles but it seems that the family of six will be meeting back up again shortly.
Reader Amber sent me two photos from a Vietnamese site, one of the plane Angelina and Pax were on for their flight to Hanoi, and one of her van heading for the VIP room at the airport.

I can’t wait for their return back to the US and I certainly can’t wait for photos, although the media should just lay low..

Angelina’s next role is as an assassin - how motherly! It will be nice for the whole family to sit down with a bowl of popcorn and enjoy her heartwarming work. Why does she think the work she gets paid for and her role as a mother are two seprate things? IF she’s so concerned about the state of our world and wants to do good, why does she put out films that support violence and violent behaviour? Just wondering.

Hi Cynthia, this is one of the answers to your question if you won’t see Ange that much since she is going to be a stay home mom!

Sparkle - See, as a mother I kind of take a bit of an offense to that, as though people must become a total saint when they become mothers. Angelina Jolie is an actress, that means playing a role. Just because she stars in a film doesn’t necessarily mean that the kids must all sit around and watch it. They both seem like very level headed parents and I am sure that they will not have their children view any inappropriate films until they reach the proper age.
And really, if that’s an actual issue then no one in Hollywood should ever have children at any time EVER because they may have once done a film that is not appropriate for children to see. Which is a ridiculous statement, isn’t it?
And frankly I think that the good things she does in the real world speak much louder than the things she pretends to do on the big screen.

My comment is in regards to the adoption of little Pax. First, I must stress that I am not adverse to the good that Brad and Angelina have tried to do. My concern is that when Maddox and Zahara were adopted they were babies and not yet able to speak. Little Pax presumably already has learned language and not English. How is his adjustment being addressed? Has Ange learned Vietnamese. The child must be very frightened.

I agree Sherry, it is a job, and somehow I too think she chooses film wisely now at this point in her career. and by wisely I mean based on what is right for her…whatever that may be.
yes, it is amusing how society places extra loads on us mothers. most of us are first and foremost mothers, but we are so much more than that too!

Being an actor is considered an art. Art is a broad subject in itself. The kids favorite movie nowadays is “Shark Boy and Lava Girl,” according to Brad he even saw it more than 16 times. Paula, language immersion is not difficult with children. A child’s brain is like a sponge. They soaked up a second language very fast. I’m sure with Brad and Angie having a multicultural family are aware of this and it is actually more fun as you go through the process. I just hope Brad and especially Angie will never read the negative comments at the PerezHilton site. They go back with Angie’s past too much and oh so nasty. Those comments are worst than the tabs.

You miss the point - perhaps I wasn’t clear in my initial statement. I am not at all making a statement about mothers having to be ‘holier than thou’ - I am making an obvious statement about hypocrisy. You see, if someone professes one belief- ie. world peace/care and love for all children, etc- and then creates a film that is violent, these are contradictory forces. All parents know (and it has been widely studied/documented) that violence on tv/film begets violence in our society (I am not necesarily implying that the kids are watching these films- my inference to them all sitting and watching together was to demonstrate the contradiction) So, Jolie is working against her goal, which is to support a more humane and compassionate society. To make a film and after the fact use the funds received to support her charitable causes then becomes a joke- she would be much better off creating films/work that move society to a higher purpose and greater awareness. That’s all I’m saying.

I just want to point out that movie making is also a business jungle. You have to get offers, and you also turn down offers. Since Angie is very good with action and drama, she was offered this type of role. We don’t know how much she is being paid for this or how much Atlas Shrugged she will be making. She already turned down Sin City 2. Even if you are the hottest actress in town, there are only a few movies that are possibly PG13 that will gross high in the box office. She reached a level of acting beyond borders that needs a mature audience who can understand beyond discriminating between violence and how it contributes to the art. She is a working Mom just like Brad is a working Dad. They are go to work just like any of us. Sometimes they make people laugh, sometimes they make them cry or mad. All movies are rated according to the age of the viewer with a long and clear warning. If Angie can give her income to charities by being an actress in its true sense that is good enough for her fans. I would not like her to sell illegal drugs to get income to fund her charities. She just finished “A Mighty Heart” which is a heavy drama. Now she is doing an action film similar to M/M Smith which has a PG13 rating because she is versatile. Give her a break, she is just your ordinary working Mom who happens to be sleeping with an ordinary guy by the name of Brad Pitt.

Sparkle, I understand what you are saying, however, it’s all acting, this is what actors do… Both Ange and Brad have said that they will definitely choose to do better films, however it’s like a catch 22.. Ange is a great actress and a great mother as well, probably better than some women, no offense…… she is known for these kinds of movies, making it once in a while is I think okay… maybe it’s for great money, she donates 1/3 of her income to charities.

i can’t wait till these kids get bigger and realize what hollywood kids are supposed to act like. even if brangelina are good parents, their kids are still gonna most likely turn out as hollywood brats. look at maddox, already wearing 500 dollar jackets and shoes…. hes 5 years old, 4 cryin out loud!!
