People really want Brad Pitt to run for mayor of New Orleans!

Awhile back we had a discussion about what we thought of the rumors of Brad Pitt running for mayor of New Orleans and Angelina Jolie running for president. We all knew the stories weren’t true but it was fun to read everyone’s opinions. Most of PittWatch readers agreed that they would prefer if Brad and Angelina continued to help people the same way they are now instead of entering politics.
However, not everyone agrees with us.
A family in New Orleans – Josh, Gabriel, and Elizabeth Harvey – have decided to start their own grass roots campaign with the hope to get Brad Pitt elected as mayor of New Orleans. They don’t seem to mind that Brad is not actually running, they still want to show their support and let people know who they think is the best person to run the city.
I think it says a lot about how much good Brad has done for New Orleans that people want him in office!
Elizabeth Harvey designed the t-shirts for the campaign and began selling them in their family store downtown. The shirts sold for $20 and for each one they donated $2 to the Make It Right foundation. Now THAT is what I call giving back!
Since the store has been selling the shirts like hotcakes, you can now purchase them online as well from WearYourStory.com.

Actually, Professor Thomas Bayer is the one who designed the shirts! This company is making them, but they didn’t design them.
I’ve read three different names since posting, I’m starting to wonder if anyone knows. LOL.
I got the info from my agency so who knows? But they sure are cute!
yeah, Randi’s right.. its a professor that started it all about this Brad Pitt for mayor thing. he sure really wanted Brad to run since he campaigns on-line and he also has a “13 Reasons Brad Pitt Should be Mayor” list online to convince voters. hahaha!

I would be far more willing to purchase a shirt if they gave 1/2 the money to Make It Right rather than a lousy $2!! Somebody is making a hugh profit since a tshirt like that would cost less than $3 to make in bulk. Even if you include the cost of selling on the internet, they are still raking in the money. Why not give that money where it is needed most? I don’t like to see people taking advantage of a star’s name. These people probably could care less if Brad runs for mayor of NOLA, they just want money!!

i really admire her. there’s even a pic of her holding books or was it notebooks that she put inside her bag, maybe its the kids stuff.. dunno.. but really love to see her take the girls out..

Hmmm…I’m tempted to buy one of those shirts. They look pretty darn good, but I agree with LouAnn that they should donate a larger percentage of the profits to Make it Right.
I bought 2 Make it Right T-shirts and have to say they are the most comfortable T-shirts I’ve ever worn. 100 % organic cotton. BTW – They have to change the city residency requirements if they were really serious about Brad for mayor. He hasn’t lived there long enough.
Kimmy – I saw the video on X-17. It looked like Shi kept close to Angie before they boarded the plane and the bodyguard was holding Z. It was cute. Angie stepped up onto the plane and Shi quickly tried to follow her lead, but her legs were too short so the guys on the ground helped her up. Beautiful take-off at the end of the clip.
Kimmy – thanks for the link to Just Jared. Those pics are really great although they´re a little blurry. It was good to see mummy Angie out with her two big girls for the second time this week. Zee and Shi sure had a fun time during that flight. It´s wonderful to see that Angie spends some quality time with her girls. Maybe the next time we´ll see Brad or Angie out with the older boys. Maybe Brad, Mad and Pax did something fun while mum and little sisters were flying. Miss the twins. Hope to see them soon!
Brad Pitt for Mayor…I don’t see that happening cause he said he doesn’t want to,but still cool idea!!!

Cute idea, but I don’t that would be Brad’s cup of tea. Glad Angie is having fun out with her girls. Hope we see Knox and Vivi soon.
