Thanks so much to Mike, who, if you have been following the comments here at Pittwatch you already know, resides in Namibia. He is providing us with some really great info that we can’t get anywhere else. 
He just sent me these pictures, the first two are of the sandstorm they had today (have you ever been in a sandstorm? There is almost nothing worse…), and the third is the hospital in Namibia where (in Mike’s words) “Angelina has reserved a room and the facilities to deliver a water birth.”
How exciting - I can’t thank you enough, Mike!!

I still think she’ll give birth around the 20th of May. Just a gut feeling.

Mike I have a question about the climate. Although it appears hot windy & arid, I notice that people seem to be covered up in long sleeves, pants, and some people were even in sweaters. What’s the deal? Is it cool & dry there, and/or is it about protection from the sand? Thanks for any help with the question..
by the way…..it’s beautiful. The sky is like a painting it’s so blue and clear. lovely.

The weather here changes everyday from one extreme to the next. Only last week we had 55mm of rain. Now 55mm does not sound a lot, but on average our region only gets 6mm of rain a year. This was all in one day. So you will see some photos where people are wearing long sleeve shirts etc. On average our temperature should be between 18 to 22°C. We are also moving into our winter season. With the sand storms or ‘east weather’ as we refer to, sand gets in everywhere. So you can be sure that the paparazzi had a difficult time keeping their camera’s clean.
I bet that is a big mess for cameras and everything else you might have. And it surely IS indeed beautiful there - so much different than anything we have in the U.S. Thanks again, Mike, you are a real sweetie!

Thanks so much Mike. I don’t know how to calculate celsius, but I know 0 is freezing, and 100 is boiling, so are you saying it’s usually extremely cold (18-22c)……..are am I stupid lol. I know fahrenheit is 32-212, so I’m taking a wild guess and saying that it’s translated normally 75-80 degrees. I won’t drive ya nuts, I promise “she says after the fact”

Good to hear everyone’s thoughts. Here are mine:
It is great to see Angelina looking so well and happy. The causes she is supporting are really worthwhile too.
I think Angelina and Brad have told a white lie about the due date for the protection of their baby and their privacy ( don’t tell anyone!
). I think the baby is due sooner rather than later. A woman’s first baby is on average late anyway. I think the hospital looks great and a water birth sound right up Angelina’s street - good for her and good luck to mother and baby both!
I think it is no wonder Angelina was giggling in the interview, I think that if she realised the magnitude of the world’s interest in her and her family it would be hard to cope with.
Also, I think that Brad and Angelina’s bodyguards can be forgiven for being tough verbally with the paps. I don’t think people realise, the paps are following celebs around all the time, looking in every window etc. I have seen videos of other celebs where the paps say anything to get a reaction and get a picture, even lies or insults. The paps use the excuse that people want the pictures, but it is one thing to look at a picture (as we all like to do), it is another to follow another person to take photos for money, and to do anything to get it.

That video was TOO cute - who ever made the comment about her beauty being effortless (Catherine??), you are so right. People mag. knows what they are talking about.
I have thought this for a very long time now - there is no more beautiful person on the planet.
JPF - you are almost right, 18-22 degrees C. translates to about 64-72 degrees farenheit. Perfect weather in my book. But you can keep the sandstorms.
Christina I DID do better than I thought I would! It’s really interesting that it would be that cool there, but ITA, totally comfy. I lived in LA and coming from the midwest(oh/il) first, and then the south (Ga), it was wonderful to have LA’s dry 75-80 blue sky days, and 55-60 nights. Yes, I think I’d like Namibia.
Belle, why do you believe Angelina is lying about her due date especially when she’s never said what it was one way or another until today?
Honestly, it would make sense, JPF - you know how secretive they are. They could have said another month just to throw off the paps. Don’t know that they did, but it wouldn’t surprise me a bit.
Why would she LIE about her due date? if she doesnt want to share something, she doesnt. She said at the begining of her pregnancy she was due this summer. I know technically summer begins around June 21st, but I think most people consider the whole month of june to be a summer month, soo since she is almost 8 months, it seems to me she would be due in early June.

Me myself forgot about the whole “I’m due in the summer” because I honestly haven’t been keeping tab’s on when she actually was gonna have the baby only that according to the news, it would be soon. I will admit I was rather happy when she added time just because I knew it would irk those intent on believing Brad & Angelina have been rooting like pigs since they laid eyes on each other. I love that they keep their personal lives closed off to us. I never expected her to even share what month she was in and so that one was a suprise in and of itself. I expected nothing, and I respect their right to say nothing. I just hope after the baby comes they get some peace.
Anybody know the exact dates they reserved the Burning Shores resort for? When is thier supposed “three month booking” up?
I wouldn’t put it past them to have booked the room at the hospital to try and make the paps want to hang out at the hospital rather than at the resort. Angie has the means to provide herself with all the physicians and midwives and clinitians she wants do a home birth right there at the resort, and I believe there is another resort close by that has a clinic available too….for emergency back-up. (MIKE?) Also heard that she has flown in her personal physician already.
But she could do a water birth right there at the resort….with all the support of family and friends without being closed into a small room in a hospital. (I can even visualise her acctually delivering in the swimming pool!! LOL) She is so healthy and strong, I just don’t see a reason to worry about this birth at all.
Also, it dawned on me, speaking of her possibly “lying” about her “due date”… thats probably likely. Think about it… if she had the baby a little bit sooner than the paps expect it, at a different location than they expect it, they may able to sneak out during the night (after the birth), well before thier (paid booking) resort stay time is up. (and they’d slip out of town BEFORE any of the relatives did, so as not to tip off the press that all the ‘festivities’ are over.)
Make sense? (out smarting the paparazzi must be a mind altering full time job….geez.)

Not really sure re the due date! (Due dates are not very accurate anyway). But I think it would be a protective thing for her to give the impression there is longer to go - the paps may give them more peace that way.
Sooooo does anyone think she maybe carrying multiples (twins?). She seems quite large for such a thin person and she isn’t quite 8 months. I know that pictures add-on 10 to 20 pounds…so that may be why she looks big.
But I am not ruling out twins…a girl and a boy? When she purchased the layette in Paris didn’t she get both girls and boys stuff?

Like some of us are speculating, she may be a little farther along than she’s “letting on”. I think she stretched the truth a little bit, by 2-3 weeks.
I still think that baby is due between the 15th and the 25th of May. We have heard June 2nd, May 18th and May 4th(?) , right?
May 18th…thats the acctual due date is my guess.
(She led Ann Curry to say she’s “not quite” 8 months to throw off the press….giving the Jolie-Pitt Clan ample time to have a baby before the press THINKS it’s due, and sneak out of town with new baby during the night, (with Angie wearing a fake belly so she looks like she’s still preggers…and Brad carrying the babe in an over the shoulder diaper bag, with fur lining? LOL!)AND BEFORE any family thats there with them leaves.
People Mag would already have thier photo….released during the night while the clan travels to wherever thier next stop is….That’s what I think. It would completely outwit all the other paparazzi…while the family is on the flight “home”, the “paps” will find out that People Magazine has a shot of the Baby already…and all thier efforts are for nought. HAHAHA!!!
I’m trying to “Out smart” the press with this line of thinking, which is something I think Brad would do (if not Angie), backed by his pal George. George would most certainly come up with something like this!!
As far as twins, I think thats HIGHLY possible.
The pregnancy WAS planned, and she TOOK pre-natal vitamins…that rumor I DO believe.
PS> with a plan like the one above, the family could get out of Namibia and home without too much paparazzi presence waiting for them at thier destination…the first baby photo would be on the stands just hours before they land.
(Geez.I sure hope the Paps don’t read this blog. But even if they did, and I hit the nail on the head, it’d still work!!)
Oh….and I think I’ll just keep my eye on George. In this kind of set up, he’d be up to something big, like being the one to leave earlier than the others…with guess what in his pocket?

I guess no one is going to “know” until the baby is actually born. I was 9 days late with my first, and 11 days early with my third. I guess I am just a bit sensitive to hearing people say that the may have “lied”, etc. There are just so many haters who love to jump down Angie’s throat to catch her in a “lie” Omg, she said she didnt want bio kids.. omg, etc etc. I am not talking about anyone on this blog, Just on far too many others that I have seen. I guess Im just a bit overly sensitive to hearing them described as secretive and other such words. Makes me think they have something to hide and i dont think they do. I just see them as being private, two very public people trying to have a private family. I am thrilled they shared this pictures with us, and think it was a wonderful move on their part also to have the money given for charity, but I dont feel they owe me an explanation of when the baby’s due date is(I personally hated telling my family this too cause if i went over i would get phones calls asking “arent you ever going to have that kid?” ) or if they are having a boy or girl. That is for them to share or not share. I respect that.. and I would imagine most of us here do as well.
See I agree Iron Velvet. I love that they are private, and I never much paid attention to a due date, but I won’t lie and say I was unhappy when a month got shaved off (selfish reasons there…piss the haters off lol).
I think she has a harder time not spilling than Brad. She admits to being a talker, and we know she in the past was pretty open to discuss just about anything going on in her life. I mean there wasn’t to much off limits and so I have an easier time accepting ambiquity from her like when she said they weren’t sure were they’d be but “what will be will be”, over her flat out fibbing about how many months she is. It was more in the affirmative and I just don’t think of her out right lying, even to put the pap’s off. Make sense?

Anyone know for sure if Brad’s family is in Namibia? Keep hearing that, but mostly the tabs and I take everything THEY write with a mountain of salt.

Rameypix has pap picture of the family returning from their long-weekend trip on friday. Brad is shown holding Maddox who is standing on a plane stair. There is aslso another set of pictures in which we see rad holdng X, can’t tell though. Brad and Angie are shown displaying a PDA - he is touching her shoulder and leaning toward her like he is going to kiss her forehead while they wait and she seems to be leaning toward him with her arm around his waist….
watch out for these pictures online.
Iron Velvet, do you mean like his mother/father etc? Mandy speaks of the new pictures, and it looks like a nice amount of people with Brad/Angelina, so who knows, it just might be the Pitt-Clan.

Me either. I saved the itty bitty pic, and tried to blow it up, but you can’t see much so I’ll just wait. One thing I do notice is how tall BP is compared to AJ. She looks like she fits right under his arm! Fuzzy or not, they look so cute in the picture.
