Second trailer released for Brad Pitt’s “Inglourious Basterds”

Have you seen the second trailer for Inglourious Basterds yet? If not, please, do watch it now. I’ll wait.
All I can say is WOW. It’s so clearly identifiable as a Quentin Tarantino movie. Obviously this isn’t going to be a film for everyone. You can tell from that brief clip with the baseball bat that the film is going to
earn a tough rating from the review board!
It’s definitely a violent movie but considering the mastermind behind it and the story it aims to tell, that isn’t
much of a surprise. I’ve said this in the past, I don’t like real-life violence in any way but on screen when it’s
not real, I can enjoy a violent movie as long as it tells a good story. Quentin Tarantino always manages to combine both, so I’ll definitely be eagerly awaiting the release of Inglourious Basterds this August! Who else plans to see it?

i don’t think i am going to like this movie. haha. not really a fan of this brutal kind of movie.
i heard Quentin was asked to cut another 45 mins. of this film because it’s too long. is it true?
My husband likes war movies and I like Brad Pitt so we will be going to see it.
Maybe it’s just the country girl coming out in me, but there is something SUPER SEXY about Brad’s uneducated country hick accent. I sooooo want to see this movie! Even with the heavy content, Brad really looks like he’s having a blast playing the part. On another note…just saw over at Simply Brad that Warner and Paramount both passed on Moneyball so either the director will need to make a rewrite that Sony likes or they can replace the director and hope that Brad doesn’t walk or they can scrap the whole project all together. The article said Sony has about $10M invested thus far in what has already been done. The movie sounded interesting to me but with all the negative talk about it maybe it’s best just to scrap it. I’m sure Brad would love to have more time to spend with the family and his charity projects and it’s also well known the LA area is their least favorite place to live because of all the paparazzi. I wish them happiness in whatever they do…
After seeing that trailer I’ll definitely try to make time to see it.
It’s got Tarantino written all over it. Not just the violence, but rather the winks and the nudges throughout. Seems like a bit of a laugh – well, between the blood splatter…

I am one of Brad’s biggest fans and I cannot wait to see this movies! I have pretty much stopped watching any movies but Brad’s.

I’d watch anything with Brad Pitt!I’ve seen almost all his movies,so why not this one?
The fact that I love Brad as an actor doesn’t mean that I automatically love all his movies.Some I like more,some less.But I think I’m doing to like this one!Violent movies are not really my style,but as you said Sherry I think this one tells a very good story,so I don’t see why not see it!!!

Hi Pittwatchers! I was out of touch for a week, but Sherry, I just want to thank you for all the posts about World Refugee Day. I’m so glad Angie brings attention to the children and parents who are displaced by extremism, war and greed that stalks the planet. It was extremely uplifting to spend some time here at Pittwatch, a so-called “celebrity” web site, where instead of hate and trivia, I get to read about the plight of refugees and think about ways I can help them as well. Iam so happy to see the comments. I have been going nuts ok not acutally nuts, anyway it not easy when I can’t see the family, can’t see comments, I just don’t know what to do with myself.
Anyway I will see the movie and take my hubby and friends they love violent film the more people get kill the better. I will just close my eyes,I can’t stand blood and I am a nurse. I will see anything with Brad, as Straoula mention some I like some not so much but I support Brad and Angie’s work because I think the world of them. Thanks Sherry I hope everyting is ok now.

Eversince Brad hooked up with Angie, I watch most of his films. The most I like of course is MMS then Burn After Reading. Definitely be watching IB with my hubby. God bless the Jolie-Pitt’s.

I am going to see the movie for sure. In fact any movie Brad is in.
This trailer has got me pumped for the movie…gives lot more insight in to how the actual film is going to be than the first one – I couldn’t be more excited. I also have heard that the actual film is a little less Brad Pitt-centric, which is a good thing. As good as he is, movies can sometimes overdo it with one character and it gets to be too much, taking away the impact from their most pivotal scenes…i.e. Tom Cruise in Valkyrie. The opposite end of this spectrum would be Silence of the Lambs – Anthony Hopkins was only in it for 16 mins of screen time, yet his presence dominated the film (in a good way). Either way, I’m super giddy over this film.
I also thought it was great that they used “Comin Home” by Murder By Death in the second half of this trailer. It has this modern punk Johnny Cash vibe to it that really sets the mood for some Spaghetti-western style violence…hope its featured in the actual film, too.

It’s supposed to be released Aug. 20 but I think this is still just a tentative release date…they only finished filming in like February or something, so we’ll just have to wait and see…
