Snooping paparazzi come to blows at Jolie-Pitt home
CNN ran a fairly disturbing story about a trespassing incident that occurred at Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s home in France on Friday. Two paparazzi dressed in camouflage and somehow managed to sneak onto the grounds surrounding the Jolie-Pitt chateau. There is nothing officially stated yet as to how long they were on the grounds or how many - if any - pictures had been taken by the time they were found.
However, when four of the guards at the chateau discovered the intruders, a physical fight broke out from both sides. Apparently no one was seriously hurt although both the guards and the paparazzi chose to file assault charges. The spokesperson for the police, Capt. Olivia Poupot, implied that it’s easy to imagine that it’s not unusual for people to come to blows if they discover someone illegally on their property, taking pictures.
A judge will still need to make a formal ruling as to whether or not further charges will be pressed against anyone. This comes right on the heels of Brad threatening legal action for photos that were taken of the family in their yard the other day. We can only imagine how angry he must be over the trespassing and how scary it must be for the family in general.
What is perhaps even more disturbing is this further statement made by Capt. Poupot that they aren’t overly concerned by or interested in this break-in.
“There are, […] more important things than paparazzi taking photos of a glamor couple.”
I don’t understand this attitude at all. This isn’t “paparazzi taking photos of a glamor couple” at all. You could call it that if they were walking down the street and someone took pictures of them from the end of the block. This is two people who invaded Brad and Angelina’s privacy by trespassing on their private property, disguising themselves to be as inconspicuous as possible, and traipsing around their home. I would hope that everyone could take legal action against such a thing; being a celebrity should not matter. On top of that, there are children involved. Will it be serious enough if one of the Jolie-Pitt kids gets hurt? Will it be serious enough if they break right into the house itself and take pictures inside?
I think the police should be taking it more seriously than they are, especially if they want to promote their supposed anti-paparazzi laws that prevent these types of incidents from happening at all. I don’t care how badly someone wants to sneak the first pictures of Knox and Vivienne Jolie-Pitt - breaking into private property to do it is unacceptable and illegal and should be treated as such.

The pap. are totally out of control! These people are lawbreakers and need to be treated as such. I vow not to buy any mags that feature questionable pics! As much as I love the Jolie-Pitt family, the pap. obsession is totally unhealthy and dangerous!

French police say camouflaged paparazzi who managed to get onto the grounds of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s chateau in southern France on Thursday fought with the Hollywood couple’s guards. Both the paparazzi and the Jolie-Pitt’s head of security confirmed the confrontation but gave widely different versions of events.
Freelance photographer Luc Goursolas said he broke a guard’s finger and bit another until he bled, and that they hit him with a walkie-talkie, punched and kicked him, leaving a head wound that required three stitches.
“I was pouring blood. I threw myself at them, put blood all over them, and told them that I had HIV so they would stop hitting me,” Goursolas told The Associated Press on Friday.

Tony Webb, head of security at the Miraval estate, said Goursolas went “berserk” without provocation and denied that his guards punched the photographer.
He said Jolie and Pitt may be forced to move if their privacy is not respected, and that the couple feels besieged. He said local police are not taking the problem seriously enough.
“If they get invasion of their privacy like this then they would have no option, and they would have to go somewhere where the laws are upheld a bit better,” Webb told the AP.
“It’s just not fair, they are in their own property and you’ve got him (Goursolas) and there could be another dozen out there that we can’t find” on the 125-acre property, he said. “They are just a couple trying to bring up their young family.”

Goursolas said he wasn’t on the property but in woods nearby where the guards, on quad bikes, found him. “The forest belongs to everyone,” he said, adding that he walked five hours to get there. “I wasn’t in their garden.”
He said he didn’t take any photos. The colleague who was with him, camerawoman Marianne Saint-Arroman, said she didn’t take any video. She confirmed they were wearing khaki and camouflage to avoid being seen in the woods. “We weren’t going to wear a red sweater,” she said.
Webb, however, said the paparazzi were on the property, about 600 yards from the house, on a wooded hill from where Webb suspects that previous shots were taken of Jolie and Pitt in their garden with their children. He said Goursolas had also camouflaged his equipment and that he was “there for a good stay.”

Jolie returned last weekend to the estate after the July 12 birth of her twins, Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline, in the Mediterranean city of Nice, about 60 miles away.
Goursolas claimed that Pitt came out to speak to them after the fight. “He told me, ‘What you are doing is bad, I am fed up with my private property being violated’ … and then he said, ‘If you want war you will get it.’”
Webb said he wasn’t on hand at that point but added that he didn’t think Pitt said that.

They are fortunate, in some cases people on their own property shoot first and ask questions later. I mean they were dressed in camouflage, they could have been anyone. I am happy cooler heads prevailed, Brad and Angie acted above what is expected when you are confronted with trespassers, they have 6 young children to protect, hope those paps spend some time in jail.

Trevor Neilson, a spokesperson for the couple, tells PEOPLE one of the paparazzi “viciously attacked a staff member, breaking his finger and wiping blood on his neck, arms, legs while saying he had Hepatitis C.”
Goursolas confirms to the AP that he fought with guards, saying he broke one guard’s finger and bit another, drawing blood. A guard, he claims, bloodied by hitting him on the head with a walkie-talkie.

Spokeswoman ‘Olivia’s’ statement about them having no interest in things such as this….what an insensitive comment!….she is supposed to be working for the citizens and residents of the country. Angie and

If the photographers were on public land their clothing wouldn’t had been necessary. Security couldn’t force them to leave. I don’t believe the part where Brad came out of the house and kind of threatened them. He would have let security and the police take care of it. I find the police’s comments disturbing. He’s basically saying that anybody can do anything on their property just because Brad and Angelina are famous. I get the feeling if somebody did hurt them or the kids he wouldn’t care or do anything about it.

Brad and Angelina should have known better than to move to France in the first place. If they want more protection, they need to get back to America where at least our police take these intrusions seriously. We need strong laws in our country NOW to get these maniac paparazzi in control. We need to establish limits and impose strong fines and jail time. And, Brad & Angie know better. What are they doing over there anyway?

I believe there is an over reaction to the police comment’s. Remember that even reliable news outlets like CNN will twist people’s words to give the story they want to give. Unless there is video footage of the police officer saying this in the full context of what he/she was saying, I really don’t think you should jump on the police officers. Try and under stand what the police are trying to say is Brad and AJ have enough money to sue these people, I don’t think the tax payers should have to pay for a court hearing. I know I wouldn’t want my tax dollars going to that as much as I like these two fine actors.

Someone said that there are pics of Pax nude in the water in the L&S mag. Brad should sue that mag for showing the pics. Maybe him finally fighting back will make the pics slow down. He has been really patient during this time. It is really ridiculous the way the papz invade their privacy.

I read the story on the Huffington Post. Sounds like it was quite an event ! People requiring stitches and everything !!!! I personally don’t think the bodyguards should hit the paps but maybe turn them into the police and get them fined? And so what if Brad said “If you want war it’s war.” Is it really so bad to say that? He just means, look, if you are going to go to such lengths to invade our privacy then we’ll stop being all nicey nice too. Is Brad supposed to be sweet gentle and polite even when his rights are blatantly and deliberately being invaded over and over and over again??? I am actually amazed at how polite Brad and Angie manage to stay in the face of the paparazzi. If it had been me I think I would have had a Britney Spears episode with the umbrella : ) And look, here they go to extreme lengths to find privacy and still can’t get any.

as soon as the first pics of the twins are published it should slow down. that is not the point, the papz are way out of line and need the tar kicked out of them. come back to Texas, the law takes tresspassing pretty serious.
but it is really hot here but that is why we have air conditioning.
Princess Di should have opened eyes but it seems they are even more aggressive. Who is to say a kidnapper disguised as a papz won’t try something and who know they just may have a gun. The world is a crazy place and if a determined photographer can get that close !!!
I just walk past the mag rags anymore. I am not going to support that kind of crap action.

I am also from Texas, and you are right; a judge told me to shoot to kill after my house was burglarized. Texas laws are STRICTLY enforced, and even homeowners have the right to bear arms. Poor Brad, brand new babies and this crap where he thought his children would be safe. Damn!!

I am from Oklahoma,the law here does not allow trespassing on your property.Poor Brad he has just had it with alll the crap going on.I wish Brad and Angie would just come back to USA they would be safer.But at this moment i don’t think Angie could make long trip since she had C-section.Well at least Brad’s mom and dad are with them,and they will help Brad deside what to do.

When I saw this story early this morning I was real upset, and here late in the day I am still pissed. BAMPZSfan is correct. Any kidnapper could pass themselves off as a papz and do harm to one of these children. I feel so sorry for Brad and Angelina, they are spending all this money every month to rent this place, and tons of money on security people and they still can’t have a quiet life. I love to see pictures of all of them, but I will no longer look at any pictures that invade their lives.

You know, it’s a mixed bag. On one hand they’re selling the twins pics for ???$$$ and on the other, they want they’re privacy. I really admire Nicole Kidman for “passing” on the money.
I think that it’s time that the Jolie-Pitt family and their 6 kids either stay put where the kids can call home and stop this lolly gagging around the world. I have a feeling that Brad wouldn’t mind, but it’s Angie with the ants in her pants.
Also, the fact that she’s talking about taking a year off before she makes her next movie…
Obviously she loves the limelight of stardom, but truthfully at this time, she should really concentrate on her “bunch” for the next several years. It’s also interesting how other famous stars have managed to disappear from the limelight after kids with an occasional pic here and there… by selling the photos there’s all the more reason to create a stir for the paparazzi. I am not condoning the paps, just think that there is a way to find privacy just as other actors have managed to do.

Didn’t Nicole Kidman “pass” on the money because no one offered her the amount she wanted (I read she wanted $3 million but no one would pony up). Also, it’s not Angelina who has “ants in her pants”, they moved around because they were shooting their movies, Brad in NYC for BAR, and Texas for TOL this year, and then France for the Cannes Festival, and then giving birth.
Why is it always Angelina who gets the blame? Didn’t Brad at one point say he loved traveling too?

IMO, some people decided long ago that since she was too different from them and that she was a strong, confident woman who made no excuses for how she lived her life - she would be their convenient scapegoatr and whipping boy(girl). These same people are too lazy to change their opinion even when Angelina transformed herself.

The whole point of selling the rights to the photos (people make it sound as if the babies themselves are being sold) is to channel the money to charities, and keep it out of the paps/tabs grubby hands. What could be wrong with that? Does anybody honestly think the JPs would be left alone if they didn’t sell the photo rights?
I also read several reports that the tabs weren’t willing to ante up for Nicole’s asking price. And the arrangement she made of having her wedding pictures given to the paps for free and asking them to donate to a hospital didn’t result in much of anything. (And if we’re comparing Nicole and Angelina, let’s compare what Nicole has done for UNIFEM and donated, with Angelina and the UNHCR.)
The tabs/paps have a priority list of big “gets” - the photos that will them the BIG money. Nicole and Halle are on it, but they’re nowhere near the #1 Jolie-Pitts - whether we like it or not. I’d rather they weren’t on the top, then maybe they would have some peace.

Elizabeth~~First of all I think it is great that Brad and Angelina get such a high price for pics of the twins! What a wonderful and clever way to get money for charities. Much better than giving the pics for free, this way they help so many people!! I like Nicole Kidman but do not glorify her for basically pouting over not getting the money she wanted. If she gives them for free it is because in her mind she is trying to save face for not being offered more. I believe both Brad and Angelina do a great job of balancing work with their family. I do not think they desire to “stay put”! They feel they are giving their kids great experiences by living in different places!! This couple seems so in tune with each other and only close minded petty people can not see that!! Wake up and enjoy a hollywood couple that is actually accomplishing some good!!!

According to reports, “This is not the first time Goursolas has run into trouble photographing celebrities. He was fined for chasing Monaco’s Princess Caroline in 1996, according to Agence France Presse.”
I wouldn’t put it past him to have started the fracas to make it a huge deal and get press attention on him, the better to sell himself to photography agencies. He probably fancies himself quite the macho mercenary - but what macho man fights by biting someone’s finger instead of throwing a punch? And if he was losing buckets of blood, why didn’t he go to a doctor?
The Jolie-Pitts might have wanted the birth in New Orleans, for which they have a lot of affection and commitment. But if France’s vaunted strict privacy laws and being in the middle of a huge estate with bodyguards doesn’t protect them from the paparazzi, how much worse would it have been in New Orleans, in the U.S. where paparazzi run wild?

hi I’am new here. English is not my first language. this papzs are crazy. Brad really wants to protect his family. as we can see in some pics they are having some family quality time as normal people do, like us. I hope this crazy paps will just leave them and let their privicy be respected. They have planned to stay in france, coz all they thought they could live without this people invading their life. As for selling pic, i cant see anything wrong, its better for them to give those money to less fortunate than giving to those papz.

Tarantino On Pitt Collaboration: Expect A Masterpiece
Last week we reported that Quentin Tarantino flew to France to convince Brad Pitt to star in his upcoming WWII drama ‘Inglorious ********.’
Hollyscoop.com caught up with Tarantino on the red carpet at the ‘Swing Vote’ Los Angeles movie premiere. When we asked if he got a chance to sign Brad on for the role of Aldo Raine, he said he “wasn’t allowed to talk about it,” but he did tell us to “expect a masterpiece.”
Rumor has it Tarantino also has a role set aside for Leonardo DiCaprio and he plans on meeting with Leo in the coming weeks.
Who in their right mind would say ‘no’ to a role offered by Tarantino himself!?

That’s so funny that Nicole Kidman tried to get lots of money for her pictures and no one would pony up !!!! It must be pretty humbling. Well, here’ the market putting a real price on how interesting you are : ) I am actually getting quite a chuckle over how all the stars now are following Angie’s example (a good thing, too) but very few of them have her and Brad’s star power : ) : ) They are the true pathbreakers, originals, and truly beautiful people. (I mean don’t get me wrong, Kidman is a nice woman, but is she that special?)

Two men were caught on private property and when asked to leave they attacked and resisted until authorities arrived.
That’s the story. If I read that in a newspaper regardless of who ever the property belonged to I would just be beyond annoyed. I wish Brad, Angelina, and the Jolie-Pitts the best of luck.
I believe the media has really destroyed Brad and Angelina’s credibility. So many stories have been written that it gets hypocritical. The media is making them look hypocritical when it is them that are hypocritical. So when Brad and Angelina are trying to be serious about Katrina and 3rd world countries, they don’t know if its true or just another hypocritical story. And that’s why people tend to get tired of this mess and think we are people with no life who admire hypocrites. And that’s happening to a lot of celebrities these days.
Some say its the fans that drive these paparazzi. But I don’t think so. No one becomes a fan of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt because they love seeing pictures of their kids. I mean I understand that some will be a fan of Brad or Angelina because of their looks cause they’re great looking.
I’m rereading my post and am on the verge of deleting it completely. I have total lack of expressing what I think and my post just looks like it came out completely wrong.

There are legal remedies for these violations, and it is my understanding French law is pretty strict, but you don’t get to respond “in kind” or escalate. You don’t get to threaten or assault people for trespass. That isn’t a legal defense.. that you are fed up or it is an invasion of privacy. Brad can take legal action, and I’m sure he will/should, but this smacks of India when they got a lot of bad press. Who needs that? While the photographers are out of line, celebrities who have body guard assaults associated with them are never very well received.

I also share everyone’s view that these paps once they invade some ones private property charges need to be brought against them, and that police officer does not care because she thinks there is no harm done but as a police officer she should be concern because she does not know if these people were there to hurt this family and she does not kow whether these people were PEDOPHILES. I hope someone calls her up on that very quickly.

One time the same rag magazine (US weeekly) declared that Zee was born out of Rape and JJ placed it on his website and also the most recent one which it does not matter if its true but I think they are insinuating children are less special if they are born from this manner.

To be honest, I don’t think the Nicole Kidman thing is true. I think someone printed it as an “I heard,” and it got picked up by other outlets. And once people heard it from “several sources,” they decided it MUST be true. That’s the bad side of blogging, etc… It doesn’t have to be true, it just has to be passed around. Kind of like the “close source.” Well, lol, if a “close source” said it, again, it MUST be true!

I’m really afraid with this situation because once we reach this stage, there is no good outcome possible. Either the paparazzi take their pictures and leave peacefully, which is a gross invasion of privacy, or they are caught and violence ensues, which is dangerous for everyone concerned.
Either the Jolie-Pitts could be hurt, or the papz themselves could be hurt. I don’t care about them so much as I am concerned for the repurcussions for Brad and Angie. It’s a no win situation for them and I wish it would stop.
Remembering that I looked at those pictures from inside their property is making me sick, now. Gosh, I just *knew* they were too clear and close up to be taken from a helicopter! I should have realised they had to have been taken from someone on the ground. No wonder Brad decided to take legal action. Helicopters are one thing - they may be invasive and noisy, but at least you can see them and know they are there - sneaking around in camoflage gear, without being aware of them, is totally another.

How badly is this affecting the JPs credibility as actors and humanitarians? I think the paps/tabs obssession is overexposing Angelina and Brad - and that’s not good.

I also think that the story here is one of people trespassing on private property and then when confronted they attack. I think people love to hate Angelina and Brad partly because they are envious of them .Its sooo annoying that *we* people that is , are supposed to be one-two-even three dimensional and thats it. Anything out of the box and then oh -oh basop!I am just glad that the character assassination of these two by the media has apparently left them unfazed and undeterred. I’m glad the intruders are arrested, hopefully, they are the last ones of their kind. The Jolie-Pitt’s can’t be prisoners in their own home, but after this incident Brad & Angie will take the necessary precautions possibly even to the extent of moving to another country. Thank God, they are safe & no harm done to the family specially to the kids, the papz are going way too far, I hope they stay lock up for a while & learn their lesson. I don’t believe Brad came out & said those words to the intruders, it’s not his style.

Nicole is a big star, but she’s not JPs. She will never be followed/scrutinized like JPs. She can give away all the free pix she wants to, I’m not interested.
JPs are hot. Fans & nonfans, they all want to see the babies! But not at the expense of someone’s safety.

A bit corny perhaps, but I think it would be interesting to talk about this someday.
For example: Angelina definitely made adopting a child from another country something I would consider super cool now, whereas before, I *might* have thought of it more as a last resort…

I don’t really know what to say on this matter. It just makes me really sad. I do think once the first pics of the twins come out it’ll calm down though but that should be Brad and Angelina’s choice and their choice alone. It’s ridiculous that some people think they deserve this just because they’re selling the baby pics. No one deserves this! And i’m sorry but if a few pics of my children would make $10 million+ go to charity i would do the same!

I don’t know if there is any truth about Nicole being miffed about not getting the money she wanted to sell her daughter’s photo and so, I’m inclined to be neutral on this point.
If she gives out free photos, she’ll have to consider which tablies she will give it to? Also, she will need to consider whether to give to any of the celebrity websites.
So here’s the thing:
The only way NOT to benefit any of these sleazy tablies is to give the photos to ALL the tablies. If she wants to pick the allegedly more reputable tablies such as Hello and People, then guess what guys, she’s just GIVING MONEY to hello and people because there will be some members of the public who want to buy these mags just for those photos. They will benefit.
If she gives it out to the less reputable tablies such as STAR, Outta touch and lies and shlt, A SS weakly or popular celebrity websites such as Perez and dlisted etc. she will be giving out her precious daughter’s photo to magazines who are just as likely to write up a bunch of shlt about her in 2 weeks time. Does she really want to support tablies and celebrity websites such as these? So, these 2nd and 3rd tier tablies will benefit any way from having those photos.
No one gains in this sort of passive defence play. Just look at Nahla and the sneak photos by the paps. If Nahla had just turned her face, imagine how much that photo would have gained that paps - a good $10k or more my guess.
What I would say is that if Nicole finds it too distasteful to sell the photos then she could turn a negative situation into a far more positive one - simply match every dollar she gets for her daughter’s photos with a dollar of her own and then donate the whole sum to charity.

what happened at JJ ? I stopped visiting there several weeks ago because Jared intentionally used tabloid story to get hits which I thought disgusting. I was not angry but bored with his tactic. During 2005-2007 there were a lot of informative and insightful comments. The forum was inspirational and I learned a lot from them.
They are gone and now only a few people bring positive vibes there. I had to scroll hundreds of meaningless comments to find out a good one.
Thanks Sherry for providing us an interesting topic below. I have difficulty to express my feeling in English but some of comments wrote exactly what I feel toward Angie. Thanks everyone for sharing us your experience.

Amen Ligaya, Sunny & shame on Elizabeth. It doesn”t take a brain surgeon to see why they would sell the pics. They control the rights and the way it is done. And see that all the monies go to charties, not the rag mags and the less than stillar paps that they would do business with. The reason the paps are out of control is there is a price on the JP’s heads at all times, not just because of the birth of their twins. The rag mags put it there because they will never be given a exclusive anything from the JP clan, so the try and take what is not given. I say smart of them. These are the media types who would try and ruin they JP’s creditibility, not responsible news agencies. So I agree with Matilda that the pics were taken on private property and that it sounds as if it would have happened again if the guards were not doing the job the were hired to do. So I don’t think we have the whole of the story (rag mags again). If Brad Pitt has threatened legal action, then I’m fairly certain a report from the 1st time was taken, so it lends creditibitily to the verison of the guards the second time. It is so obvious that some trespassing occured twice and that someone needs to be held accountable, (the paps and their partners in crime). And as far as they like the “lime light”. That is the nature of the business. But wouldn’t the “lime light” be connected to, say something to do with a movie or their job, not the birth of the babies. I mean “lime light” implies that they are parading in front of the cameras, when in fact they are staying hidden from the same cameras. Correct me if am wrong, but I would assume this would be a very private time for the two of them, away from the “lime light”. They are trying their best to make it so, staying home for quite time, as most of us would do. I know my childrens birth had nothing to do with my job other when I would return to work! Which means Angie is know different than the rest of us women in the work force no matter the nature of her job. Why would she be criticized for working or when? The focus should be on the legalities of a trespasser no matter the reasons. They didn’t give up their rights, my law, because of their names. The rag mags and their business partners are trying to take it away from them for their own gain. And that is the real crime. Their children will inherit this travesty if their parents don’t stop it now. And I think the Jp’s are up to the task.

I think the local police’s whining because they wee out there ONCE. The JPS must have something on record in order to get some kind of legal judgement against these stalkers. as far as the comparison between Johnny Depp and the JPs is laughable. Before the Pirates films he did not have the public adoration he is enjoying now. he never was a tabloid draw. When Brad hooked up with Angelina it wasn’t a case of 1+1=2 it was an event of celestial magnitude which seems won’t die down, the longer it goes on the worse these paparazzi get. and without legal intervention there is no hope of this persistent invasion of privacy. I sometimes wonder what goes through Brad’s mind when he thinks as a regular man and he worries about protecting his family. One man, alone with his thoughts.

Miraval is not a private property there is no barrier all around it.
This alone photographer was attacked by a five bodyguards who took him on a road near property and drove him by car and with strength near the Pitt Jolie house.
He escaped from the five guys and succeeded to call police to help him.
When policemen arrived he was running in blood to get out of this trap.
He spent all the day at the hospital.

someone suggested a topic on why some people dont like B/A.I have read comments from those people and they are all about the divorce,how Angelina stole Brad and her past,clearly you can see they are people who haven’t moved on from the divorce and they are likely to stay that way.

What happened at JJ was that Jared posted a thread about the rumor that the twins were born from IVF and it was immediately overrun with trolls. Recently JJ made the USMagazine web site a “trusted website”; I have no idea why. USMag hates the J-Ps and posts lies about them every chance they get. When he posted that thread it made me wonder if he is going to start posting every lie and rumor that USMag prints about this family. If I want to read lies and slander, I can read it on USMag’s own website. I don’t want to have to read it on JJ.

the limelighters go where they know the papz are, the Ivy and other hang outs. The JP’s rented a place with hundreds of acres of land and a house in the middle trying to have privacy for their family. They limelight on the red carpet. They don’t go out and look for it. They are concerned for the safety of their children. When they are out they keep their kids close by actually carrying them. They have asked politely to be left alone or have asked the papz to back of. They are NOT publicity hounds. When Shi was borned they know the papz would kill for a picture so decided to have People to do the spread and give to money to charity. They knew it would bring big bucks so why not control the issue. The only limelighting they do is red carpet and when they hit the talk shows to promote their upcoming movies. They are trying to be a family. One reason they travel so much with the kids is to keep the family tegether as one unit. They take turns working. Yes the kids get to travel but mainly they are a team of 8 now. They don’t take off for months leaving the kids with nannies. They care for them theirselves. Notice grandparents are with them now, not help. Example: Kevin Federline and Britany; bRITNEY HAS HER ISSUES BUT SHE is WITH THE KIDS. kEVIN GETS ALL THE FATHER AWARDS and he is never with them.
brad and Angie are dedicated parents and all the crap said about them wanting publicity is bogus. They just want to be left alone and spend safe, peaceful time with their family OUT of the limelight.

i hope you guys (and sherry) won’t mind that i explain a little about posts going through moderation (just to save you some trouble). just this past week, mine has gone through them a lot. i hope you’ll take my word that everyone goes through moderation once in a while, though some more than others. ligaya and victoria are our resident moderation queens ;) some words in a comment might trigger it to go through moderation. at times, it is just a glitch, and even sherry doesn’t know why even the most benign posts await moderation, but rest assured, sherry will clear them through. others also let sherry know that their posts are in moderation. also, the really bad ones (i.e. ones that promote racism or violence) automatically get moderated, and sherry sees to it that those aren’t cleared.
anywho, seeing as there are new posters here, i’m sure sherry won’t mind explaining this moderation thing again. i hope i have been of some help, too, though ;)

He probably fancies himself quite the macho mercenary - but what macho man fights by biting someone’s finger instead of throwing a punch? I agree . I am 57 and believe me I would hate for people to know some of the crap I did in my twenties. Hey, I barely remember my twenties. Can you imagine being watched by the world while you are doing your crazies???
Angie is so open and when you are open the naysayers strike. I am a gemini and have a tendecy to tell it like it is and when I was young I sometimes paid for it. and God forbid you be beautiful, smart and a free spirit. When angie adopted Maddox I think it changed her life, it gave her direction and purpose and when she met brad it gave her a partner with the same goals. I read a comment the other day from her that said you can have great sex but if you don’t have the same goal and passion, it just won’t work. I think they (B&J) will last forever. They both value family, kids and each other.
Maybe that is our attraction to them, we all long for the same thing.

I usually visit this site and post on this site. But when I’ve been to JustJared and scrolled through the comments I’ve found the tone to be really harsh many times, there were tons of trolls and a lot of nonsensical comments. I guess there is no moderation going on there at all? It just seemed like a giant mudslinging fest.
Here people express themselves in full paragraphs. You can be critical, just not derogatory.

Umm, People is a legitimate entertainment magazine - not a tabloid. They fact-check, for one. They’ve sat on stories until they’re able to verify them. IMO, People is equivalent to TV Guide, Entertainment Weekly, and the former Premiere. Entertainment magazines are not identical to tabloids, although the tabs are all about celebrities.

The trespasser was not an innocent victim. There are photos of him after the “fight” and there is no blood. I agree with Ligaya, he is a worm. He has chased Brad and Angelina around the world and they were familiar with his tactics. He stalked Princess Caroline of Monaco and was fined for that. There are photos of the tent and the food. He was there for the long haul.
He also admitted to walking for five hours to get there. If you have to walk five hours just for a photo, you are either crazy or being well paid or both. Miraval is over 1200 acres and is a private vinyard. In the Getty photos, you can see he is at the vinyard (you can see the grapevines) being questioned. Therefore, he was on their property, not in the forest. Believe me, if Brad Pitt had come out to confront him, there would be photos everywhere. This jerk is a liar (in the photos he looked a bit “loopy” and is dangerous, like so many of those who rent trains, planes (helicopters) and automobiles just to stalk celebrities, especially this couple.
PS-I won’t give my age, but I am on the sunny side of 40. People should stop bringing up Angelina’s youthful indsicretions unless they are willing to be as honest about their own. She has grown so much, while still keeping a bit of her edge (flying, motorcycles), but is feminine and graceful as well.

OH MY!! TMZ has a pic of the camo papz that got busted by security~~He is holding his camera> You have got to be getting me!!! Anyway, he does not look to beat up to me, Too Bad!!! Lol!! I hope those 2 papz get jailed for their invasion which I know is highly unlikely, but wouldn,t it be nice to see them get punished in a way that might cause a positive ripple effect??

I was very disturbed when I saw this story yesterday while at work. I was appalled by the local police spokeswoman (can’t recall if she’s a police captain or not) saying the Jolie-Pitts should get more security as this kind of thing isn’t important enough and distracts from real crime in the area like ‘robberies’ and ‘muggings.’ I don’t know what the ‘Private Property’ laws are in France, but if Brad and Angie want to stay there–and I for one believe ‘any’ place right now is better than in the U.S.–perhaps they should hire armed security and make a formal statement warning everyone about the consequences of being caught on their property.
The problem with sueing the Paps is that the photos are ‘out there’ pending the outcome of the trail, unless the judge is agreeable to a band during the trial.
What a shame. These two incredible people certainly do not deserve this kind of treatment.

I wish JP’s would return to NOLA because when/if you think on it, it seems the only place where we’ve really never heard of them being put in a situation like they have here. France was supposed to be that place were the laws would allow for more freedom from this kind of thing, and now this. Another thing about them living in NOLA is that it’s citizens seem very protective of them. I remember reading about a bar owner kicking a reporter out of their establishment for trying to take photos of the couple, and I’ve heard of people being asked in the neighborhood about them and been giving wrong info on purpose, or gotten the silent treatment.
I think they’re a great team, and it’s times like now when I know Angelina realizes the essence of this man. He’s going to protective his family, and those who don’t know better ask somebody lol.

I dunno…I feel their pain (as does everyone else here obviously). I mean, the South of France is a pretty nice place to live. So I can see the attraction. And it is more low key than Hollywood or New York City, which are the other celeb hot spots. I think perhaps the problem is that Brad and Angie have attracted a level of media attention (and obsession) that is pretty much unprecedented. So I don’t think the French local police are used to having to worry about people going to extreme measures (once people have installed pretty tight security systems) to get into people’s property. France is just more low key in general. There is less crime (less poverty) so it’s not organized like a security state. Whereas there are parts of the U.S. and the third world that have wealthy high security zones, that are ultra (insanely so in my opinion) protected. So that it perhaps the problem. Yeah the laws are tighter, but I guess the enforcement is weaker because they are not used to this. This is just my hunch anyway, I could be wrong.

Is it any wonder they went to Africa for Shiloh’s birth…People there are to busy trying to feed their family and stay alive to give a shit what famous, beautiful people are in the hut next door. They just need to buy some little funky place in no where land (like Idaho or Montana)and not let the world know where the hell they are and maybe they could get some peace. France is full of rich beautiful people so there are tons of photogs and paps hanging around. Demi Moore and her family live in Ketchun,Id. and they seem to live pretty normal lives.

ligaya….I SO enjoy your posts. I’ve been a silent fan since you started posting. I cannot get over you saying that not ONLY did they have camouflage clothes but a camouflage tent!! I also agree w/People being a legit magazine. AJ & BP seem to be very grasious to their fans. I hope this doesn’t stop them, but, I understand it.
Also, Sherry wanted to give a shout out and a big thank you for everything you post for us. I don’t know how you do with your family and all, but it is so appreciated.

BMGM had been talking to several filmmakers about rebooting the franchise and started meeting with Aronofsky a month ago. But greenlight delays resulting from potential SAG labor strife and actor scheduling left him open to wooing.

Thank you Sherry for this update. I was away last weekend and came back not feeling well so I am really behind here. When I read the other wonderful posts including familiar names from JJ’s site, I must agree that wearing a camouflage outfit and putting the same on someone’s camera has the “intent” of not only tresspassing, but to take long lens photos of someone’s children/property. Even if they are 500 yards away, it is still trespassing. They are money hungry. I actually saw those photos at Laineygossip.com the first time. Shiloh was sitting on Brad’s lap riding some type of motorcycle or golfcart. The caption says, what does Brad and Britney have in common? Of course the tabs will have “great” stories with that unfortunately. Also, thank you Sherry for the great video of “I am who I am.” I recognized the blogger who made it from JJ’s. I also think that the U.S. have wild paps but the laws are more strict.

Now, 1000 acres of which only 75 acres are devoted to vineyards leaves you 925 acres for other users include some housing, barns etc for the winery. The bulk of Chateau Miraval is WOODLANDS.
YOu may also recall that there was an article not long after the JP’s rented the place where the hunters said that they hoped they would be allowed into the woodland to hunt game during the season. I’m sure of course they will be because the hunting seasons is in the fall and the JP’s would already be back at work. Now I don’t know whether Chateau Miraval has any fences or not but really, why would the hunters say that they hoped to be able hunt there if it weren’t fenced off?
Several years ago, I visited France with friends and was taken to a lovely hunting lodge in France. The lodge was surrounded by woodlands which were private property and it was fenced off. The owner made most of his money during the hunting season when he licensed people to come to his property to hunt for wild boar, deer and other game and of course, stay on his property (we were there off season). To get to the lodge, you’d have to walk through acres of woodlands.
It seems that the pap KNEW that he was on Chateau Miraval land and not public land so he’s just a lying scum bag and in deed, what would you expect of a pap who has once been charged with stalking another celebrity?
Looking at Chateau Miraval’s website, it seems to me that it does not do door sales and sells only to known distributors or visitors by appointment. This means people like you and I can’t just walk into the winery and ask to sample their wines and buy a dozen bottles or so to take home.
This is the way with most prestigious wineries. AGain, during this visit to France with friends, our friends got appointments for us to go to some prestigious wineries. For these highly prestigious wineries, it’s not exactly like doing a tour of the Napa or the Hunter Valleys.

Thanks for the words Ligaya, I could agree more. When I read Balances comments all I could think of was, “WHAT”!. Are you kidding! Man where did that come from? Not private property! What better way to draw attention away from yourself (Luc Goursolas & Marianne Saint-Arroman) than to cry foul when you are caught red-handed comminting a crime. To accuse the people who caught you of the very thing you did and then threatened to sue. Beautiful! Come to think of it, Unblanced, opps Balanced is really probably Goursolas, because no one in their right mind would make such unbelivalbe, unsubstantial & uneducated statements!!!

“Another” Sherry, thanks so much for really nice feedback. I think one of the hallmarks of Pittwatch, besides respect and civility, is how knowledgeable and articulate people are. Lots of times I learn something new or a different way of looking at things. Plus I often get ideas of how to defend Angelina and her family’s honor in other blogs. ;-)
JJB, a popular bumper sticker around here is “How did *our* oil get under *their* sand?” Anyway, the Middle East is a very complicated issue, and we understand less about the Middle East than we do about Africa - which isn’t as much as we need to. Good grief, we don’t even know U.S. geography and civics. I just saw a great movie called Persepolis about a little girl (spunkier than Juno!) growing up in Iran during all the changes in the government. I learned more from watching that movie – the culture, history and relations with the U.S. – than from the lectures I’ve gone to or the little reading I’ve done.
