Talking Baby Names with Namibia’s first lady

by Christina on May 12th, 2006

Yahoo! News tells us that Brad and Angelina have been talking about the name of their child with Penehupifo Pohambo, the first lady of Namibia, as she visited them at the Burning Shores resort.

The Sun quoted Mrs Pohambo as saying: “We’d be honoured if she gave her child a Namibian name.”

Angelina, who has talked of creating a “rainbow family”, named her adopted children Maddox - meaning son of the lord - and Zahara - meaning shining or luminous.

Brad’s been reported in the past as wanting to call the new bubba plain old Jesse or James after his new movie, The Assassination Of Jesse James.

Not if Angelina’s got anything to do with it, we reckon.

Yeah, that’s what I reckon too. ;)

**Just a heads up - I have been struggling this week quitting smoking (am on Day 5 now), and the withdrawals have sucked every bit of creative juice I have out of my head, so please pardon my extreme lack of personality this week. It has been a struggle to be out of bed at all for the majority of the week, I am praying that my normal self moves back in over the weekend!

Bravo, Christina! Hang in there. We’re becoming very patient with all things Brangelina and it’s easy to be patient with you. We know you’ll do it!!

Thanks you guys - this has been quite a (yucky) week. I liked my smoking self - this person I don’t know and she isn’t very fun. LOL

Well done Christina! You brighten our day. Some folk need a bit of prozac when they stop smoking, but I think what you need is Angelina to push that baby out! Go Angelina and Christina!

    Hey Christina,
I’ve been checking the site, alot of interesting stuff, I just haven’t had the giddy-up to comment much, I’m on day 14. It took about 30 days of to figure out my smoke pattern, and when I’m most likely to puff…usually while I’m surfing. Eventhough, most of the cigarette burns out, I just light another and so the cycle continued….I agree, I liked my smoking self as well. I seem to have lost my edge…don’t quite understand this non-smoking person either. At any rate, keep up the good work on the quitting thing. Good Luck, we CAN do it

I admire all of you who have quit smoking and/or trying to do so. I’m just on a little ole’ diet here—trying to lose 6 pounds and find myself extremely undisciplined this week. There’s no comparison I know—just wanted to let you know there’s no need to apologize about anything and we’re all rooting for your success. Don’t sweat the PWsite. We’ll all be here even if you need some time off. Bravo and hang in there!!

You go girl!!! As of this past Feb 21 I hit my 5th yr as a non-puffer, and if I can do it, trust me, you will succeed. My turning point came one day when by divine intervention I had a sudden ephiphany…….”there IS no such thing as willpower.” The moment, and I mean the VERY moment it was revealed to me that if I wanted to be free of the mental chain smoking had me wrapped in, I needed only to be COMMITTED to not smoking. I finally realized that cravings, stress, and other ritual smoke triggers for me like a cup of coffee, a glass of wine, or curled up watching a good movie would always be around, and I didn’t want my enjoyment of those things to hinge on my being able to smoke while doing any of them, and Christina, after that, it was eazy breezy. I did utilize Nicoderm patches and I’m telling ya, those things helped SO much physically. I know you’ll succed, and welcome to the club!

I believe Angie. Everyone has an opinion and no one is bad or wrong if her opinion is different, I just don’t see her as someone who plays those kind of games. I wouldnt blame anyone who would do that, it just doesn’t seem Angie’s style. Just a gut impression. No offense meant to anyone.

Um, I think I posted in the wrong place above. Sorry guys. And Congrats for giving up smoking!! I have never smoked but I have friends who have and I watched them struggle with quitting. So far all 3 of them have gone over a year without smoking and I am very proud of them!!
