The Jolie-Pitt family on the French Riviera

by Sherry on May 1st, 2008

Wow! Have you SEEN the pictures of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s current home away from home on the French Riviera? The place is just gorgeous, and so is the view. You can see them here. I would love to stay someplace as beautiful as that. Can you imagine how nice it must be on the inside?

Nice place! Those Microsoft people just have house’s all over the world, they have an insanely huge ski chala at the bottom of Blackcomb Mntn in Wistler BC.

Sorry for the spelling it posted by itself before I could spell check. That should be ski chalet.

I like that “invades” comment, not. Really funny Bauergriffin! Regular Dave Chapelles huh.

Imagine staying there for weeks, I will not even dare to go out the house, it’s so nice & the view surrounding the house itself, oh my it’s magnificent.
    Goodnight. God bless.

I liked “horde” too - maybe they thought it was apropos because of Mad & Pax. >:-\

That villa is more like a Renaisannce palace. i can see Juliet on one of those many balconies - Romeo would have to work hard to get to her though. OOooooooooohhh, if I could only stay there one night & the 2 days bracketing the night - that would be enough. Am I asking for too much?

    It’s raining Angelina…

HELLO! CANADA magazine readers vote Angelina 2008’s ‘Most Stylish Mom.’ 15,000 votes were cast in the poll. Angie’s looking GORGEOUS as usual on the cover.

Thanks for the tip, Ligaya and the additional news re Angie as Most STylish Mom. I agree with those Canandians who voted for her. :) As for this house, being as I’m from a third world country, this house is just jaw dropping. But, I’ll keep my dream alive that someday, I’ll be able to see something like this in person, hee hee. I hope this big house will be able to give the JPs a bit more privacy.

Thought I’d try and put the link the Brad and Angie article on Time, which was written by George Clooney.

Oops, maybe I came across the same filters as you did, Ligaya, the post with the link to the Time article (thought I’d give it a shot) is under moderation.

I had been to the French Riviera. It is a different kind of beauty. It is like aristocratic beauty. Their beach is rocky and not sandy. The weather is cooler than Hawaii. I lived in Honolulu for 13 years and I prefer the sandy, white beaches in Oahu. The weather and tradewinds are also in the 80’s unlike the French Riviera. Since the beach in southern France is rocky and has black sand, there is no surfing and the waves are not high. It is nice that they are having somewhat of a privacy here though but I prefer the 50th state scenery.

I’m with you, Lucy, give me Hawaii any day. You describe it well as “aristocratic” beauty - all those humongous yachts in the sparkling bay. Wasn’t it strange to see the narrow beach divided into little patches for the restaurants? Our tour guide said that the sand was actually imported from somewhere else, and that when the festival was in town all the locals went somewhere else, and that they had their own secret beach. La Croisette is gorgeous though, with all those palm trees lining it.

How beautiful. I am glad that they have some privacy and time alone out of the spotlight.

OT - Cannes Fantasy with some facts mixed in: Hubby reminded me that Ryan had submitted “Sugar” to Cannes for consideration. If it had been selected (not :-( ), we’d be in Cannes with Angie & Brad - hah! hee! Mary Ann & her hubby, and the other pittwatcher our age & her mate would be there too. We’d ruthlessly elbow the young things aside until we were in the front row right behind the barriers. We’d join everybody screaming “Angie! Angie! Brad! Brad!” We’d be the oldest fans there; maybe we’d hold up signs “Adopt me, Angelina!” Hee hee. Brad & Angelina would see our signs & be so taken with us that they’d come over, sign autographs, take photos & kiss our cheeks. LOL.

(Totally OT: Variety’s Circuit blog announced yesterday that Sony Pictures Classics - they distributed Departed - acquired the rights to distribute Sugar domestically. Unlike Half Nelson starring Ryan Gosling, Sugar was a hard sell without stars, 50% Spanish & tv rights already owned by HBO. - Big sigh of relief - )

Ligaya my friend you have missed your calling in life. You should be a writer, screen plays, novels whatever I think you would be good. Probably Brad and Angie would have to come over to us because we would be lying on the ground with heart attacks.

beautiful place!! Would love to visit some day. I am so glad they can have some privacy and peace. THINK ABOUT IT !!! They have to leave their own country, family and friends just to keep the papz away so they can have a normal life and enjoy this special time in their life. It really is quiet sad if you think about it. We all love to know what’s going on but not at this price. It really is sad.

Mary Ann, I think your scenario is more realistic than mine. ;-)

Actors buying $60mil houses. hmm… This country is upside down. Sure, I wish them the best, but they are mediocre actors (at best) that make more than all the teachers in my county combined over their entire lifetimes. Jealous? sure. But more disappointed buy the fact that U.S. citizens put all of their money in Hollywood and sports. Now, where’s my People magazine?
