The Jolie-Pitt French Home
We’ve been hearing for awhile that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have been planning to buy a home in France but it was always waved off as rumors since they never actually did. However, before Cannes, we did see Brad and Angelina leaving on a helicopter ride with an unknown man, and there was speculation that it might be a real estate agent showing them some homes.

Now, Splash News Online has reported that Brad and Angelina did indeed purchase a home in the South of France. The property is near Brignoles and is a 1000-acre spread with a lot of green space next to a small lake. Stunning! The property is estimated to be worth $70 million.
I don’t think it’s been officially confirmed but it’s definitely possible considering how happy the Jolie-Pitt family seem to be in France.

I wonder if this is true. I know they like France but I am not sure if this is just another crazy rumor. I just hope that wherever they settle down they will be happy and safe. Tomorrow is Shiloh’s birthday, I wonder how they will celebrate it.

Did Brad and Angie Finally Do It In France?
Peripatetic movie stars and global do-gooders Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, currently shacked up in billionaire Paul Allen’s Villa Maryland in St. Jean Cap-Ferrat awaiting the arrival of twins, are rumored and reported by London’s Daily Mail to have forked over a whopping £35,000,000 for a vast estate in the South of France on which they’re planning to raise their ever expanding multi-cultural brood.
Hmm. Really? This certainly isn’t the first time it’s been “reported” that the real estate luvin’ super stars have purchased a French estate. Remember back in mid-March when everyone reported that the couple bought that 15th century farmhouse in Eygalieres? Yeah, guess that didn’t happen.
According to all the articles being rushed out by breathless bloggers and real estate gossips around the world, the 1,000 acre estate near Aix en Provence is dubbed Chateau Miraval and has an A-list celebrity worthy driveway that is three miles long.

Apparently Chateau Miraval was not for sale but, according to the Daily Mail, the couple dropped-unannounced-onto the property by helicopter anyway and requested the owners name their price. Oh pleeze. Your Mama doesn’t believe that for a minute. Who does that kind of freaky ****? Who flies around in a helicopter, lands uninvited and unexpected on random people’s front lawns and demands they sell them their property? No one, that’s who. And if anyone does in fact do that, they ought to be ashamed of their entitled and sorry selves.
Anyhoo, according to all the reports and information Your Mama located about the property, the estate includes a swimming pool, a terraced olive grove with 13 varieties of the pitted fruit, and a stream that flows through hidden tunnels into a moat and fills a small private lake. The Daily Mail pee-pole reports that the chateau includes 35 bedrooms. Later in the same article, The Daily Mail also states that there are 25 bedrooms. Information we found about the property (via our research diva B.S. Beaverman) indicates there are 10 bedrooms spread through three houses. So who knows?
Interestingly, none of the reports we have read say anything about the recording studio on the property where The Cure recorded portions of their 1987 hit record Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me, which was, of course, in the mix of Your Mama’s angst fueled soundtrack in 1987.

I have to admit that I have found this news a little unsettling. I thought they wanted to make New Orleans their home. I keep thinking “even John D. Rockefeller didn’t have homes like this.” Maybe they need an escape, but I’m not sure anyone needs this as an “additional” home, and I it seems inconsistent with everything they’ve said they want and need. But it is beautiful.

Sorry for long posts. They are now on moderation. My conclusion is ‘ I don’t believe any reports from gossip media until reliable source comfirms it.’ There were so many reports about their purchase of house in France since 2005.

Carrie I see this house if it is true as a long term investment for them especially with the vineyards. Also look at New Orleans they have no privacy they’re constantly being bothered there,So I hope this is true it is gonna be bad for fans because we will hardly ever see pictures of them but I am happier for them to have there privacy away from the paparrazi.

1)Spalsh News are tabloidy and will most to get hits.
2) It’s alos been reported that they bought World shaped island and a Boat that could fit a world in it. Not to mention the Apartments in Berlin, Paris and earlier on UK-Hyde Park.
I guess it is possible and we have to wait and see. Only thing is none of these EVER retract the bullsh*t when they are proven wrong.
However it is a very beautiful estate and it may afford them the privacy they want! France apparently has great laws on privacy! Heck even NOLA is becoming too pap friendly!

It looks like a beautiful place, I hope they buy it.
I doubt it would cost 70 Million though… big properties in France are not that expensive. For example, you can buy a “chateau” (castle) nowadays for a couple hundred thousand dollars, a lot of English people are doing this for their second homes. It has just become too expensive and inefficient to run a small farm in France, so these properties are selling for a song.

Wow, what a grand house. Well, if it is true that they did buy, then I think it’s good for them. While it may seem big for them, they are a growing family and from the sounds of it, they will be growing even bigger when the new babies come. It would afford them a great privacy. And like Jackie said, with the vineyard, it looks like a good business investment (the vineyard is supposed to be a profitable one). Somehow, I’m hoping this is true.

Not too shabby! But it just doesn’t seem in keeping with their style somehow. Why such oppulance for a family that is admittedly “nomadic”. We’ll see.

It would be very nice for them in the long run, as they could probably have all the privacy they wanted (I imagine no photographers could get close enough, as the property boundaries are so far away). The children would probably adore the opportunity to run and play freely in the outdoors, plus all the water sports Brad could do with the boys on the lake. What fun!
I bet Brad and Angelina like the idea of the children having the opportunity to immerse themselves in the French language too. I guess we’ll have to wait and see what happens.

i know they can afford it but i don’t think they’d purchase such an expensive mansion. i mean, they’ve always been living the simple life and they’re very humble. but maybe they just want to have it because it’s beautiful, relaxing and private.

Just my opinion but I don’t think they can afford it. I think they are worth just $200-$250 million. That’s a huge part of their networth. Not to mention the upkeep of such a large property would probably be several million+. It seems excessive to buy that property since they would be there for a few weeks out of the year. I think they are just renting if anything about this story is true. I also think they get a lot of privacy in NO. No matter where they go there will be pictures of them but the papparrazzi in NO seems a lot less intrusive than anyplace else. In LA, NY, France, ect the paps were always in their faces. They followed them into stores, yell at them, blocked their paths so they couldn’t walk or drive out of places but I haven’t seen any of that in NO.

It’s tabloid’s news, wether it’s true or not we have to wait & see. The property is huge & beautiful. If they did buy or ent it, they are going to have the privacy they deserves. God bless the Jolie-Pitt’s.

I agree with those above who suggested renting as more likely. Maybe they will rent it for a few months to have extra privacy while the twins are small, and Angelina is recovering.
She said in a new article that after they are born, she will be taking a few months off: “I plan to disappear for at least a month or two afterwards.” Maybe this is where they will ‘disappear’ to.

This is not a house but a business, that produces a world class wine that has won numerous awards. I find it hard to believe that the couple who own this property and business would sell at this point, they just started an olive grove to make high class olive oils. I do believe that they would rent out the main house, I don’t imagine they live in it (probably one of the smaller houses is thiers who would want to clean it). As for the main house I do know that these large estates rent out the main house for wedding and functions all the time just to pay for the maintenance on them. I can see them renting for 3 years. Also the vineyard business and property is probably worth 70 mill but just the house would not be worth that much. I wonder how big was AJ’s estate in England.

I have such mixed emotions about the home. I don’t think they would buy something that big. But I know they are looking for a place where they can have some privacy. I love seeing the pictures of all of them, but it makes me heartsick when I see the camera’s being pushed into their faces all the time. Brad’s face has been saying it all lately. It is becoming a worry to him. So as I say, I want them happy but there will be less pictures for us to see.

They have privacy in NO and they had it in Texas. New York , Chicago and California they have problems and they had MAJOR probeemos in France. Who know what’s up. Is the reason they are picking French for their second language is that is what Maddox spoke or in honor of her Mom?
Brad and Angie are renters, not buyers

As you get older, you may be able to afford fancy shoes, but comfortable feet can become more of a priority! Nice to have the choice though.
I hope they buy it. They will not be working forever and they have to have investments. They need to think of the security of their children. They give so much to others, I think a real private home would be great. Despite this it sounds like the place is only for renting.

It seems more ‘reasonable’ that they would rent that rather than buy.
