The Jolie-Pitt Home In Texas
The Gossip Girls site has posted an entry with some aerial shots of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s temporary home in Texas. It appears to be a large property and the house is huge. It also has an in ground swimming pool, plenty of space for the kids to run around, and a little park-type structure as well. Allegedly, there are even horses and ride around trucks. Can you imagine Maddox, Pax, Zahara, and Shiloh with little trucks to ride on and horses? Cute! It looks like the perfect place for a large celebrity family to live while Brad is still filming his current movie, Tree of Life.
I think the house looks great, even if it’s bigger than anything I could ever imagine living in.
The post was brought to my attention by reader “Children First” who wondered if we could discuss the fact that people are photographing and identifying the new (temporary) Jolie-Pitt home. She wonders whether it’s irresponsible due to celebrity stalking and personal safety/privacy.
On the one hand, I get that. On the other, we have seen photos of all their homes. People know where they live, and if they don’t they’ll just follow them home anyway. However, they have security teams and personal bodyguards. They seem to have been relatively un-harassed in Texas, similar to when they’re in New Orleans - they do get photographed but not as heavily and not as crazily as, say, when they were in New York. Although it’s obvious from the photos that you can see into the yard from above, I don’t doubt that it would be difficult to get closer to the house on foot. I’m sure their security people are on top of it.
And as someone who routinely looks up house listings in my area, not because I’m looking to buy one but just because I like to see the photos, I admit that I love seeing where Brad, Angelina, and the Jolie-Pitt kids are living!

Hi everyone, over at angelinajoliewatch you can see a video interview with a 16-year old AJ (the second entry from the top) which I think will be interesting for all the AJ fans over here! The third entry is also interesting; it´s about Doug Pitt and the JP-foundation supporting kids in public schools in Springfield. Just fyi!

oh god: it’s the house of my dreams!!! you know, i do some cutting horse here in belgium and it’s my dream to live in a ranch in usa. does someone here ride some horses? do you know the quarter horses?
i think it’s a great house for the JP, especially for the kids, they probably have some great times into the nature there!
SHERRY: i agree with you and i think if somebody want to follow the JP, to know where they live, there is other way to know it than those pics…
i’m relieved that the JP have some bodygards who protect them: i want besides make a special tribute to them: they are great people, they devote their lives to protect the JP and they contribute to help them to have a life as normal as possible. they are too members of the JP family! God bless them all.

Good morning everyone. I would love to live in a ranch, with those acres of land, I’m sure, the papz can’t even past the gate nor the security people. That’s really nice, knowing they don’t have to go out that gate & everything’s available for the kids to enjoy their stay in Texas, swimming pool, playground, horse riding & see those kid’s toys laying around?
That’s a good idea, why not Brad & Angie buy a ranch for their Summer vacation? It seems, ranch property gives them the privacy they needed. Love them. God bless them always.

What a perfect place. Maybe they will stay there after filming is finished. That is a perfect place for the children to run and play. I hope that they stay in the states to have the new baby. I would be interested to see other thoughts on why they are able to wander around New Orleans vs NYC or LA where the paps are out of control. Also, how much longer will filming be on Tree of Life? And then do either Brad or Angelina have commitments or are they free to wait for their new child.

I love Texas !!! Texans are different; real proud, private and have a straight-forward,crude way of telling it like they see it. I have lived in Tx for 35 years. I had a feeling their privacy would be respected. The area they are in is really neat. Austin is known for their music and the University of Texas. Very cool place and real close to San Antiono, another totally cool place especially for families. I hope they can get out and exlore some.
I love this family !!! Just so down to earth.
Brad and Angelina make a good TEAM

I have always wondered if these temporary homes while filming are purchased or if the owners are paid a nice sum to vacate for awhile. This definitely looks like someones home, and you don’t just go out and buy a couple of horses. Any thoughts on this?

I don’t see a fence around that pool. That scares the daylights out of me! I hope someone is watching each of the kids every second.
Maybe because I’m from California, and used to lush green surroundings, but that looks kind of dry and uncozy. Not for me, you guys can have first dibs, LOL.

Ok, I LOVE them too, but why oh why does Angelina ALWAYS seem to wear black?! She looks so hard in all that black. She looks so pretty in colors!
Anyway, the house looks very nice. I am sure they are enjoying it! And yes, I hope they get a fence around that pool!

liveyourlife : in french we say “tous les gouts sont dans la nature” or “les gouts et les couleurs, ca ne se discute pas”… i don’t know how i must translate it but it’s approximately = it’s a matter of taste.
personnaly, i think she is the beautiful woman on earth when she wears black: it’s sexy, elegant and simple!
angie without black clothes is not really angie!

I am not crazy about this house. No grass, no flowers, dry looking as hell. And the pool has no view but concrete walls. Summer in texas?? yuck!

Summer in Texas is yuck because it is sooo hot but it is now spring, beautiful weather. There are trees all over the place, they just cleared too many to build the house. It looks dry because the grass is brown from winter and there is a lot of road base on the roads and parking areas. The playground area looks graveled. I am sure it is cleared around the house because of snakes. Copperheads and rattlers are a problem when there are a lot of flower beds. Seeing the playground equipment tells me ther are children that live there. Bastrop is at the edge of Texas Hill Country. It is only minutes away from Austin, San Antonio, New Braunfels, San Marcus, Gruene, Bandera and soo much more. Talk about a fun area to be in. They have Lake Travis, Baton Springs, Schlitterbaum, Guadalupe River, Fiesta Texas, Sea World, The Riverwalk, the Alamo, you name it for entertainment.
texans are a laid back group and people who live on ranches usually aren’t a foo foo kind of people.
Looks like they have all the necessaties for a fun family retreat.
We only have 11+ acres we are in the process of getting ready to build. So far we have a huge tree house for our 8 yr old and the grand kids, we have a camper we stay in when we are there and we have a barn with 4 wheelers, and boat, and wave runners. We are in the process of looking for an archetecht (sp) to design a house because we want to implement as much green as possible. we have a well, septic system and want wind and sun generated elect. So we can be a simple folk with simple taste but love to have fun.
Brad and Angies Texas home looks like it has all the essentials for having family fun.

as far as no fence, I am sure they have alarms on all doors if they are opened and alam goes off to let you know a little one is out. I have a fence around our pool because we have a doggie door but most of our neighbors have alarms.

Sherry I have been remiss in not thanking you sooner for this thread.
I guess I am a big fan of privacy and I remember Brad saying to a reported at the O13 premier that he did not notice the helicopters anymore because they are always overhead his home. It would have been nice if they could have had a little respite from that.
I really admire this fmily and wish them all the best, which sometimes in my opinion is a little more privacy! : )
