The Jolie-Pitts in Springfield
According to a local paper, the entire Jolie-Pitt family were out for dinner at Arris’ Pizza in Springfield, Missouri. And by the entire family, I mean Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, and Brad’s mom, dad, and siblings/in-laws.
The family headed up to see Brad’s own family and Arris’ kitchen manager had good things to say about them all when they came in to eat. He said:
“Yeah, we got a phone call. They just came in like anybody else. They pretty much took up the whole back section.”
I love that they don’t make a big fuss and have a whole restaurant closed down just for them, that they go in like you or I would and just order dinner, then eat it. The manager also mentioned that no one seemed to bother the Pitt family for photos or autographs - not the staff members who treated the family like anyone else, and not the other customers who were eating at the time. He referred to it as a low-key family “thing”.
Lisa Pitt said that it was true that no one bothered them and didn’t really take much notice other than the fact that they were hard to miss with a grand total of 11 kids in tow, and that it’s fairly typical for things to remain low-key and paparazzi-free when Brad and Angelina come to Springfield. She said that she feels they really appreciate Springfield after all the spotlight action in other places.
That’s so nice to know that they were enjoying special family time like any other non-celebrity family! And as much as we all love the photos, I am so glad to be able to say that there are no photos to accompany this story because, well, frankly it means they got to enjoy their dinner in peace for a change!

That’s good, they have a nice family dinner together. I wonder how long they are going to stay in MO? Does someone know if Brad owns a house in MO? No papz around, that must be nice, at least, they have peace & quiet. God bless the Jolie-Pitt’s family.

Now, we know why Brad & Ange shopped for children’s winter outfits at NOLA a few days ago, they are heading to MO. They will probably bring the kids to a place where they can play on the snow. Ange gets along just fine with the other Pitt’s clan.

Brad built a house in Springfield for the family to stay in when they go to visit his parents and his siblings. It’s not far from his own parents house and not overly extravagent. I’m very happy they were able to come to the mid-west and spend some quality family time and not be hounded. That is the best part about living in the mid-west and we do have plenty of snow to go around right now. I hope the kids will have fun playing in it - hopefully they will stay for the weekend so it is warmer for them to be outside! This family is blessed in so many ways!

Thanks Sherry for sharing with us this nice story. I do agree with you, we don’t need pictures, though, of course, we would love to see them. Knowing that they have peaceful meal in the heart of the full family is the best news.
I always enjoy your updating of the web, Sherry, and appreciate the way you make it: the selection of the stories, the way of writing and reporting, etc. It’s alot of work that we don’t see. Thanks alot!

JM thanks for the information. So you are from MO, do you live closed by to Springfield? I am from Florida, no snow but we got cold weather too during Winter just like our weather a few days ago & today. Frost this morning.

Glad the Jolie-Pitts are in the bosom of family. Don’t know much about the Pitts, but, if the proof really is in the pudding, they must be a fine bunch to produce a son and brother like Brad - the consummate gentleman and humanitarian.
From all I’ve read, they seem just the sort to appreciate Angelina and all her attributes- including her nurturing of Brad’s activism.
Angelina, Maddox, Pax, Z and Shi must bask in their embrace. I once read that Brad said the greatest gift he could give his children was Angelina as their mother. I bet Angelina thinks the Pitts are one of the greatest gifts he’s given her and the children.

Thank you Sherry for your tireless updates and attention to stories of substance about the Jolie-Pitts. I am so proud of Brad because he has truly blossomed into manifesting the person he always seemed to be at heart. I always felt he had it in him but there seemed to be a restriction that wouldn’t allow him to be himself.
The public shouldn’t judge him for the personal choices he made in his life. Our society needs to let people decide their own pathways to happiness and determine their own purpose for being on this planet.

Hey everybody!
Well we don’t have any snow here in Kentucky but it sure is cold. I am such a cold weather “boot and sweater” girl. The Jolie-Pitts need to come back to KY and bring the kids, we have loads to do here. I think they did like Louisville when they were here awhile back for the opening of the Muhammed Ali museum opening.

I agree it is nice that they are enjoying their privacy. I also think that the “house thing” is not true. It came from an unreliable source. Angie had said before, “whenever we visit a place, rumors go around that I am adopting and Brad is buying a house.” I think Jane and Bill’s house is big enough for Brad’s family when they visit.

I have to mention this scoop. Someone from JJ posted a link to the Springfield newspaper. There is an article in the local paper that a young Mom saw Brad, Angie, Jane and the kids at the Chuck & Cheese place either today or yesterday. It was a cute article and you guys should read the comments too. Seems like, the locals are enjoying the sightings. Try ozarksmom.com. The lady’s name was Bobbie, I think.

Lucy, thanks for the link. That story is so cute. I probably would have done the same, fly out of there all flustered, then get outside and say to myself, dummy why didn’t you stay in there and enjoy seeing them in person. I am so happy that they are there with Brad’s family. Just makes all the magazines that say Angie doesn’t get along with Brad’s Mom look so foolish. I hope they have a nice time and that the kids enjoy the snow.

I just have to say something about some magazines saying Angie does not get along with Brad´s Mom. I don´t know what that is based on. I think it is based merely on the fact that Jane Pitt still gets along so well with Brad´s former wife. And why shouldn´t she? Why should it be a case of either/or? Jennifer Aniston was a member of the Pitt family for many years, and they obviously know her very well and love her a lot. You can´t erase a relationship like that only because there was a divorce. Jennifer seems a nice and warm person, and I am not surprised she and Jane connect well. At the same time, Angelina Jolie also seems very nice, so I am sure Jane Pitt likes her very much also by now. She probably still knows Jennifer Aniston much better after all these years than she knows AJ, but it seems she welcomed AJ very warmly into the family. For crying out loud, can´t people accept that a Mom can remain on good terms with an ex-daughter-in-law and at the same time get to know and even love her son´s new partner?
My own mother-in-law is still in regular contact with my husband´s former girl-friend. I admit I am not always that happy about it, but if I´m honest than this is only because of my own insecurities. It´s really my problem. My mother-in-law is a wonderful person who loves me a lot and is very happy to see me and her son having such a good relationship. Her contact with his ex does not mean she has anything against me. I´m sure it is the same with Jane Pitt.

Thanks for your personal take Sophie, on this issue. It certainly gives perspective.
But as much as I think Jane’s friendship with JA is based on long exposure, I blame JA for the continuing anti-Angie garbage that’s going on.
The fact that Jane can look beyond JA’s manupilations says a lot about her as a person and I trully commend her. And I hope it makes JA ashamed of herself for what she encourage her friends and the press to do to AJ, and now BP.

Ooh, I wish JA wasn’t brought up, though I do agree with some of Sophia’s points. I have nothing against JA and that’s probably because I just never found her interesting in any manner, but I’m just afraid her name being brought up can start a whole new “debate” on here. And frankly, all that argument is better left on other forums or gossip blogs. Just better to leave all the assumptions, even about JA, to the tabs. Let’s just enjoy news about the JP’s :)

Also, just to add, it really is just the tabs. It’s not so much about Jane’s relationship with Jen. Sure, that spices up the tab stories that pit Jane against Angie, but seriously, even if Jane didn’t have any contact or friendship with Jen, the tabs will still find a way to run a story that Jane doesn’t get along with Angie. They’ll concoct it and cite “unnamed” sources. So, I’m glad that we get these little news, surprises, that essentially refute tab lies. (Noone was really aware the family went to MO till the blogger mom and this local paper talked about it.) And notice, that local paper published actual names, and Brad’s sis-in-law, too. :)

The difference with Angie and Brad is that they don’t have to tip off paps when they go to visit his mom.Reason his simple Angie does not have to prove anything to the media or the public because she is not insecure about her place in that family.How many people even knew that they visited them last year and went to movies etc,from day one DOUG has said his family really really likes her and Angie is not stupid she knows thats why she is not worried about anything.She is even closer to them now that she has lost her MOM,she said in an interview last year that she holds her family close now more than ever it just doesnt mean her kids and Brad she means her Brother,and Pitt family.Those are the people she trusts those are the ones that is helping her deal with the lost of her Beloved Mother.

Finally, the truth came out, Ange gets along just fine with the other Pitt’s clan, this tells you a lot about Ange’s personality beyond her outside beauty, she is beautiful inside & out. I can’t blame Brad for falling in love with her. For Brad & Ange family comes first. I can’t describe my outmost admiration for Brad & Ange, they are the best that happened to the history of HW. Please BlessBrangelina, no hatred. What is the assumption that “JA is responsible for anti-Angie garbage” based on? I haven´t even seen or read any interviews with her for years. She is hardly in the press these days. The sheer fact that Jane Pitt is still friends with her shows that JA is obviously not interfering or scheming, or else do you think Brad´s Mom would accept that?
And how do you know that “Jane can look beyond JA’s manipulations” (which manipulations?)? I actually made the effort and searched the net for a JA-fansite, and found “Jenniferanistonwatch” which is very calm. AJ never gets mentioned. I think her fans are totally over BP. There is no hatred going on there. Please, let´s keep it the same here. Being a BP and AJ fan does not mean one has to hate JA.
