Pittwatch.com: Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie Gossip

The latest in the Jolie-Pitt rumors

by Sherry on January 16th, 2008

Okay, I thought maybe we could discuss some of the latest rumblings about Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. What do you think? We get such great conversations going in the comments, I thought it would be fun.

1. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are trying for another baby. I have seen this all over the place, although I haven’t yet seen it confirmed on any of the sites or magazines that I consider reputable. The reason for that is simple - I can’t imagine them announcing it to the media. It’s certainly possible that they’re currently trying to have a new addition, and wouldn’t that be awesome? We also know that they both want several more children. But can you picture either Brad or Angelina calling up the tabloids and saying, “okay, we’re trying now!” and spreading the word? No, me neither. We can keep hoping though!

2. The Brad Pitt Museum in Missouri. It’s been denounced as a rumor. I’m not sure how it got started in the first place, but there will apparently be no museum devoted to Brad in his hometown. I did, however, enjoy the jokes that his friends made. When asked for his thoughts, George Clooney confessed he’d spend at least $4.50 to go. Ha!

3. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie feed their kids nothing but junk! This isn’t so much a rumor as it is an outrage that people are venting after their holiday in Missouri. They were seen eating at McDonalds, Chuck E Cheese, Arris’ Pizza, and Kentucky Fried Chicken. Now there are articles popping up where people are appalled that they feed their kids nothing but junk. This annoys me so much. Yes, they ate in several fast food places while they were away. But how often do we see them hopping into Burger King or McDonalds on a regular basis? We have no idea what they eat on a daily basis. I do remember when Maddox was in school in New York, his school menu was leaked and he was clearly eating good food there. For all we know, they eat very healthy and wonderful food most of the time and just splurged on some fun food while they were away. Plus, I have to admit, with the sheer volume of people that were in the entire family (including Brad’s siblings and their kids) I’d be a little scared to try to cook for that many people and would be inclined to go out too. And sure, they could have picked a fancy restaurant, but have you tried taking a bunch of kids to a nice, sit-down, frou-frou restaurant? I’m sure it’s possible but *I* wouldn’t want to try. The places they went cater to families with young kids, and as long as it’s not every day, it’s not that bad.

What are your thoughts, oh awesome PittWatch readers?

I hope Ange being pregnant is not a rumor, but as you said since it comes from tabloids nothing can be far from the truth, I don’t know how the gossips about her being pregnant started, maybe, tabloids knows something we don’t know, for some reason, Brad is very obvious very protective of Ange ( he’s always been but more protective lately) & they are both glowing & happy specially at CCA. Either way, I will be very happy for the both of them, I really like her to have another bio specially if this time it will be little Bradley. Well, fans what do you think? I am on the train pregnancy.
    God bless the Jolie-Pitt’s.

You are soo right. It just seems like people often love to write about things they don’t know about and if they can’t find it they make up the most absurd stories. Remember when they said Shilo went missing. Oh my god some of the comments people were writing, Angie hates her, Brad took her to his parents cause Angie hates her…… crazy. These are the most normal celebs who love their kids and are doing everyday things that is so normal.

I Agree Sherry They Wont Announce That Theyre Trying 2 Get Pregnant But I Also Think It Would Be Cool If They Adopted An African Sister 4 Z…… As Far As The Junk Food Story I Bet The Majority Of Those Complaints Come From People Who Dont Have Children. Many People Without Kids Like 2 Point Out Mistakes Parents Make

tenika, You make a good point. Many of the people who criticize the JP’s parenting skills are, more than likely, single and have no children of their own. But as they say, “everyone is a critic.” I suppose, everything the JPs do is always magnified, especially through the eyes of a person who does not like them.

I do not believe that’s the way they eat all the time this happen once in a while. these people have professional chef cooking healthy food for them all the time. it show that they are just like me and you and want to have a normal life like everybody

cmon guys they are just enjoying time with the family during a holiday. Who of you cannot join with them in this celebration. Who among you did not do exactlly the same thing? This is such a normal (and I highlight NORMAL) thing to do during the holidays. God bless them for doing normal things and enjoying the heck out of it on a holiday with the family. Geez, do you expect them to be more than we would be on a holiday with extended family? What did you do?

I do agree with Sherry. Angelina is not going to go to the tabloids to announce that they are trying for a baby.

    Tenika you are so right.

When it comes to rumors about Angelina and Brad, the thing that amazes me the most is that, these are two people who rarely ever go anywhere or talk to anyone unless they have a movie out and they are propably fulfilling their contractual agreement and doing some press - there are always stories about what they have said or what they have done in their home.

I did not really know much about Brad before, I “discovered” him during the prmotions of Oceans 11, therefore I cannot say I know much about him and his friends. I have however always been an Angelina Jolie fan and the thing I have gleaned about her is that she a loner and she does not have that many friends, friends. So all these people who are forever talking to the press and are billed as intimate sources, insiders and such, are probably people who know nothing about Brad and Angelina.

I was so happy to read that the Jolie-Pitt family eat at regular restaurants that people like us can also afford to go to… And I admire them for taking their kids there once in a blue moon…
People should realize that Ange and Brad’s kids are not overweight so I don’t know what the big deal is about!
Some people just want to hate on them regardless if they do good or not…

A certain percentage of people will always complain about the JP’s. The tabloids are full of sensationalists. They know that people who dislike the JP’s will always keep trouble brewing and rumors spread. Some people are just flat out jealous of the Pitts.

Hi Sherry and all JP fans,
The only rumor I like is if she is really pregnant. The rest are just opinions which are judgmental for those who dislike them. Like what Angie said before, she ignores the tabs and live their life as normal as can be. Just the other day, Brad, Doug Pitt, Angie and Maddox went to a Japanese Restaurant in L.A. Now, the critics will say, what a fancy retaurant for a six year old?

I don’t know if someone has mentioned this, Newsweek has included Angelina, on its Oscar Round Table discussion and I think the issue will be on the stands on 21 January 2008.

i hope too she will soon be pregnant (stupid people may be stop say she doesn’t love shiloh!!!!!!). i just want to remember that when they went to fast food restaurants the kids were on holiday. you know, i’m 19 and i remember that a few years ago, we went more to the mc donalds or other restuarants like that during the holiday. it’s normal!

I do think some of the craziness over the eating habits began when the pics of Shiloh surfaced digging into a bag of Lays chips. Plus people know that Angelina has said repeatedly that she does not cook meals for the family due to her lack of cooking skills. So most people will assume that this means they must live off of fast food and take out meals. The only thing I thought about it originally was that I may not give my baby a bag of Lays to chew on (but that’s just my preference and my opinion), but I think people are trying to find fault in everything they do. If they were only taking their kids to health food restaurants and supermarkets, then people would claim they were too obsessed with health food and their children were underfed. It is a lose-lose situation for them. No parents are perfect, but I’ve always enjoyed seeing them do NORMAL activities with the kids. Taking them to regular restaraunts and fast food joints we all go to or to museums, parks and stores that we could go to as well. Appears like the media becomes bored and starts grasping at any and every little story to keep them on their covers to sell magazines.

The only “rumor” I’m really going to comment on is the ‘pregnancy announcement’. On one hand It’s obsolutely rediculous that they’re saying Angie announced it to everyone (Brad wouldn’t even talk about Zaharas personality on David Letterman) but one the other hand, she could have told someone, and it got leaked. But who knows, Pax hasn’t even been with them for a full year yet so I doubt they’re going to be adopting again anytime soon. But *if* she is pregnant, that’s at least 9 months of waiting… so it doesn’t seem too farfetched… just that fact they it’s out there so soon. :\ who knows… time will tell.

I myself is guilty of feeding my children frito lays when they were small & now that they are grown I do it with my g-sons. There’s nothing wrong with that, it’s for snacks & when they caught Shi’s pictures digging in a bag of frito lay they made a big mole out of it. They are as normal people as we are, little things they do becomes sensationalize issues, because they are the JP’s. People are obsessed with them. God bless the Jolie-Pitt’s. BBL.

I dont’ believe that’s what they eat all the time but to think of it..atleast they eat…it would be even more of an outrage if you don’t see them feeding their family…some haters just hate for no reason…

oh and for that trying with another child..way to go!..although i also doubt they’d be announcing it..it’s like saying………’HEY WORLD BRAD AND I ARE BANGING EACH OTHER EVERY NIGHT’…wouldn’t that make half of the female and half of of the male population too jealous??? hahahaha kidding ! ;)

Pregancy Rumor - Let’s hope so
Fast Food - I personally was thrilled to see the kids enjoying places like Chuck E. Cheese. It is an experience for children and, unfortunately, because of the paparazzi, their children don’t often get to participate in normal mundane kid activities. Bravo to them for allowing them to experience a McDonald’s hamburger, or KFC or Chuck E Cheese or whatever. They seem devoted to their children and want to give them an opportunity to see what it feels like to be a “normal” American child. Also, whomever of us has not ever taken their child(ren) to a fast food restaurant may cast the first stone.

Nothing wrong with junk food in moderation. I am sure that during the week the JP’s probably have a housekeeper that would help with the meals also. My husband and I live with one of our children and we take our meals with them, and at least once a week we do take-out and on weekends we do brunch out quite often. If and when the JP’s have another bio child I am sure we will not find out about it until Angie is showing. That was the way it was with Shiloh. I believe that the next child they adopt will be someone that Zee can identify with. In closing I want say again what a nice site this is, most of writers here are nice people that express their opinions in a nice manner. Sometimes when I have free time I go into some of the other sites, and I just cannot believe how hateful these people are. Makes me think that when they state these hateful things, that is how they get their jollies off.

    Jan 17, 2008 at 1:57 pm

I don’t think no matter what this family does, there will always be criticism which is too bad. As children we were never allowed junk food or fast food except when it was a special treat like being on vacation, parents entertaining or visiting grandma. Some would say that depriving children when they turn adult will crave and eat more junk, but by that time, they can make their own choices and do whatever they want.

Hi everyone, i haven’t posted in awhile. My 2 cents re pregnancy, i hope she is, but i am not jumping on the train just yet. lol.

About the junk food, does anyone else find it strange that we saw pictures of them at McDonalds, but never saw pictures of them at KFC? All we have is a report from TMZ saying they were there. How come the paps didn’t take pictures. Therefore i am not believing that story. The people who are criticizing them will do so no matter what they do, and they are probably feeding their kids the same. I have said this numerous times, Brad and Angie can do what they want with their kids, they dont need or want approval from us. I am sure they pay no mind to all the mindless chatter out there, to which i say, good for them!!

I took my grands to Chucky Cheese and it was a great sacrifice for their fun. Believe me, it is a madhouse and I bless them for having the fortitude to give their children a normal day out. cmon you guys, this is a natural thing to do during the holidays when you have a bunch of kids to amuse. Their children are experiencing a normal American childhood. Good for them (and I feel for Brad and Angie, this is not fun for adults.) Sometimes you just gotta sacrifice for your kiddlings. And God bless them for giving their children real experiences. Yup, they coulda taken them to some upscale restaurant but the kids would have hated it. Yay for them.

Susan, i remember soon after that picture surfaced, i went to a 70th birthday party for my godmother, and there were three babies/toddlers in attendance. i almost died laughing when i saw one of them, he was about Shiloh’s age, give or take a few months, and he had potato chips in both hands. I think parents sometimes like to indulge their kids with a little treat, which is good to do, as it takes away the mystery of the forbidden.

The main reason why i had stopped posting was that it seemed more and more my posts were “awaiting moderation”, and then they more often than not would just disappear. I understand Sherry does the best she can to monitor the board, but it just seemed pointless to post if no one would read it, and therefore i could not participate in the back and forth with the other fans here. i often peruse my posts to make sure i am not violating any rules, and i dont swear, so i haven’t the foggiest why my posts were not being submitted. I hope the two i posted today goes through.

dianad1968- oh, I agree with you…I guess the reason I said I wouldn’t let my kids indulge in junk food is because I love to eat chips, ice cream, cookies…pretty much anything that adds calories- haha :-) Since I have worked really hard in the past year to lose weight, I know how hard it can be to break bad eating habits. I wish sometimes I never knew what greasy food tasted like!! I think you have to let your children enjoy pleasure foods, but be careful to monitor the intake and not let junk food become a daily habit. After all, obesity in children is a huge problem here in America. I think you can develop healthy eating habits while also including occassional trips to a fast food joint or ice cream trips or cookies as a treat. So, I was glad to see Brad and Angelina enjoy their vacation and take some time to enjoy tasty, greasy foods :-) Makes them more normal for me and down to earth.

dianad1968, I had the same exact problems with my postings this week, but I hope you won’t be completely deterred from posting. This site is pretty awesome because Sherry interacts with us, anything can be discussed, and for the most part, you won’t be judged and considered “vapid” by most of our sensible readers :) I’ve read some of your posts before, and they are interesting. :)

Well, in my opinion, there are days when you need junk food (though they do have some healthy options now) and sometimes you need a few days in a row, so what? Its not like you’re shooting up heroin.

Irma, I’m with you - on the pregnancy train ! ’cause it sounds like fun, and because she’s bound to get pregnant soon - they’re two healthy adults, very much in love. I guess its no wonder the tabloids keep saying it - it’s a good bet for them - they sell when they say it and it may actually happen, even if they didn’t know it.

Good point, dianad1968, no photos re KFC…

Anyway, good to see all you pittwatchers are in good form today…

I was actually hoping there would be a Brad Pitt Museum in the works! I was already checking out the Springfield, MO website to research other things to do there! I would go and see it–a break from my vacations to Hawaii every year, just to see and get a feel of Brad’s roots. What can I say, I just love Brangelina!

Oh LORD! The Jolie-Pitt children all have different ethnic backgrounds, but the one commone thread is that they are all americans and they have two loving parents. Thats what these assinine magazine people ought to be seeing. How many of those people pick up Pizza Hut on the way home from the office? Hypocrites. Yes, this family is famous, but people forget they are human beings just like the rest of us. I think its great they keep their family “normal”. Its wonderful the kids get to spend time with their cousins, aunts, and uncles. I loved going to Chuck E. Cheese’s when I visited family. That place rocks!

ilove the people who post on this site… the fans are truly kind.

Its interesting to me that people are making such a big deal out of their eating habits. I don’t know if any of you read the articlein Parade Magazine in which the writer describes angies eyes lighting up after her manager brings her a bag of dorritos and oreos…. Well if their own mother likes junk food then it makes sense that their kids like junk food as well. Moderation is key and they seemtobe an active family so the dangers are probably less.

it bafflesme though when critiques jjudge their lives by only afew pictures. i mean everyone has good and bad days and a photograph is but a moment in that time period…

I hope she is pregnant… it will be nice to see them aglow as she was when she was pregnant with shi

As for the pregnancy rumour, really I don’t see Angie telling tabloids they are trying. Maybe a close friend who obviously cannot be trusted. It’s a big guessing game for the tabs.

Too much fast food??? How do these know what they eat day to day. These pics are obviously special treats, because if they were eating daily from McD’s, KFC and pizza’s we would have seen pics. Afterall they get followed, their house is watched all day. (We saw pics of the guards in Malibu bringing back ‘toilet roll’ last year when they returned from Namibia, so why not a daily intake of fast food deliveries. Really people who are critising do so because it makes them feel superior and not because they actually know squat.

Am not sure am ready for another B&A collaboration on the screen just yet. But only because I know the press and haters, would take the opportunity to tear it apart and destroy it’s chances.

“Neela” and Susan” i saw your responses very late , sorry i did not reply earlier. I have a crazy schedule and do not get home until pretty late most days. I was very happy to see my posts. lol. I will try to post more regularly. After all we have to keep trying to be the “gatekeepers” as such to the JPs good name. lol.

Belle, these “sources” and “insiders” are non-existent. this is just a ploy the tabs use to try to convince the masses that they have info. I doubt very much if there really were sources who were talking to the media that Brad and Angie would not have already investigated, found out who it was, and closed off all sources of information. Which basically means if there had been, by any strech of the imagination, any leaks at any time previously, it has been closed off. Therefore, NO SOURCES. It is all lies.

I am by nature, a “doubting thomas”. I need facts to believe, good or bad. I believe anything about them from their interviews, tv or magazines, nothing else. So i am a lost cause for the tabloids. I wish everybody would do that, it would be the death of these vicious lies that are perpetuated every week. For ant celeb, not just the JPs.

Goodnight/morning fellow fans, i will post again on the weekend.

This is in response to the 3rd rumor. I think that they should have at least given these children a family oriented type of Xmas. McDonalds, come on, give me a break, because the traveling is not an excuse. They have cooks, they have maids, they would not have to lift a finger for the children in the cooking department. Everything with them is about PR. I think everyone but a few can truly see this. Give those poor children a sense of family and security that all the comforts of a stable home will bring.

As far as the traveling, they could have found a better restaurant. I do travel nursing, a couple of years back, when I was in LA, I flew my daughters out to be with me for the hollidays, due to the fact that I work 12hr nights, We did opt to go out to dinner. NOw, I was staying very close to the area near Malibu. I was in Marina Del Rey. They have fantastic hotels that we booked reservations at the Marina Del Rey Marriott. It was beautiful, 5 person band playing and one of the most beautiful buffets I had been to in quite sometime. It does not take that much, and these people are rich. Now, how many, if anyone could be honest, of you can say that they were taken to Mcdonald’s on Xmas and was pleased about it. Take your time I will wait.

  • Sherry
    Jan 21, 2008 at 1:54 pm

@ Sunshine - They didn’t go to McDonalds for Christmas, it was the 26th. I’m pretty sure that many kids would be pleased to go to McD’s on boxing day with their parents.
