The wedding rumor mill churns on and on and on
People just can’t stop talking about whether Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie will get married at some point.
In the past few days I have read the following rumors:
- Brad and Angie will get married in France, which is why they’re there earlier than they need to be for Cannes
- They’ll get married on Paul Allen’s yacht - I assume this came about because they’re staying at his villa
- Mariane Pearl will be the maid of honor
What makes me laugh about this ongoing rumor of wedding plans is that it seems as though the tabloid writers figure if they keep talking about it long enough they may eventually be right. Brad and Angie could get married ten years from now and some tabloid will say, “See? We called it! A decade ago, but still!”
If they do plan on getting married in France, the yacht is a pretty decent idea. They could be out in the middle of the water, away from most cameras (although you know there would be some somewhere, even if it’s a guy in a rowboat, frantically paddling after them or someone hanging by a bungee cord from a helicopter swooping overhead), and apparently Paul Allen is so loaded that his yacht is equipped with helicopter landing pads, a submarine (!), and is enormous.
(Edited to add: Apparently Randi at BradPittWatch.com is on the same wavelength since she also posted about the yacht rumors - check out the picture she has of Paul Allen’s “little boat”! I wish I had helped found Microsoft too, good lord he’s got money.)
On the one hand I roll my eyes at the constant “they’re getting married! They’re breaking up! They’re getting married! They adopted three more kids! Oh my god they got married in a secret ceremony in Tom Cruise’s bunker!” headlines. On the other, it just goes to show that Brad and Angelina are one of Hollywood’s most fascinating couples because people just can’t help but talk about them.
What do you think? We’ve heard approximately five thousand (give or take) wedding rumors since they first got together. Do you believe there’s any possible truth to the newest round of rumors?

I don’t know about the rumors but I think they are more in love than ever, that it only gets better. I would not be surprised if they do. Angie is much more effectionate toward than the first pregnancy. I think they are really committied than ever. They are soul mates and I think they will. When… who knows.. maybe her brother will perform the cerimonies. I think Angie really mellowed since her mother died, and I think she finally let down her wall. Let’s face it, when you don’t like your dad, you have men and trust issues.

I always say NO to the rumors until they are confirmed by a credible source…and the marriage rumor has been floating around almost since the two first got together…in one way I think people really want to see them get married and make it official, but then I also feel that the mags hope they get married so they can sell lots of copies of that issue…all in all, I think they will be the ones to decide when it’s right (if ever) and I almost hope they keep it a secret so it will be intimate and completely private for them and their children…and if they never get married- it doesn’t really matter…I view them as complete partners with or without the official document…I guess I have never completely understood the fascination with wanting them to get hitched…but maybe people would love to see what type of ceremony they would have…but they seem content as is for the moment…these crazy rumors do bring a smile to my face when I read them…it’s kind of fun to speculate :-)

Well, Angie said a long time ago that she’d never have a biological child, and now she has one and another on the way, so the idea that they may change their minds and get married isn’t too far fetched in my eyes, but I totally get where you’re coming from!

I think I’ll just wait until they actually do it. In any case, I’ll be cheering them on and hoping that they’ll have a long, happy life together with their children. I think I also believe that they are growing more in love with each other as time goes, and I’m glad.

Randi…..Ange is carrying 2 babies. They both have admitted she was pregnant with twins.This is not a rumor.She was on one of the Today shows when she talked a little bit about their family,but you know Brangelina,they don’t like talking about their family too much in public,much less on television.Such a very private and beautiful family.I wish they would get married.I’d like to see them have one BIG huge wedding and at least let someone in there to take a couple of pics.(don’t see that ever happening).Anyway,it’s their decission and their lives in which I highly respect.Love this family!!!!!

Charlotte - Angelina hasn’t even officially announced a pregnancy. Technically, it’s obvious she’s pregnant what with the giant belly, and she unofficially spoke about it when she mentioned feeling kicking motions during her conference. But she has never confirmed that she is having twins. While it’s certainly possible that she is, at this moment that still remains a rumor and not a fact.

I really don’t care whether they get married. They are soul mates and a little piece of paper won’t change that. I don’t think they will get married in the near future as I think, in their minds, they are so committed that it isn’t an issue.

You know, if there have to be rumors, at least these are nice rumors. We have had so much of the “they hate each other, they are together only for the children” or they are breaking up and going back to some ex (on both sides).
Since there is nothing else to write about, they talk about this. Of course the story changes every time it is published. It is like that game when you whisper something to someone and you have to keep it going. By the end of the line, the story is completely different than the original.
I agree that they are sweeter than ever with each other now and it is just adorable to watch. If they get married, good, if they don’t no problem either as I agree that they are total soul mates. This family and each other are their commitment, with or without the license.
Brad is a doting partner and dad and Angelina is in her element as earth mother and partner to him. It is all good right now as far as I can see.

Did you check out the boat??? OMG !!!! If that doesn’t give them some incentive to do SOMETHING I don’t know what will.
Yoy are sooo right.. a piece of paper means nothing but they obviously believe in marriage or they would not have been married before. It does take a lot more to do it over or for a second time. They are true soul mates and if they do tie the know. I am betting it is small and private with only family and close friends.
I made a joke earlier about AJ’s brother marrying them but, it would not surprise me if they did that. I guarantee it would not be a big shindig.

*Davesmomster, I totally agree with you.
Angie did kind of hint that they may get married someday, if the kids desired it at a later date. But presently neither of them saw it as a priority for the reason you stated.
The tabloids are so inconsistant in their drivel, that they are contradicting themselves without knowing it. But I guess their readers just don’t care that they are made to look foolish on a weekly basis!

Never say never, but come on, why would they do it this summer, while she is pregnant out to there or just given birth? It doesn’t fit, since they have waited this long. If they ever get married it will be in some unique way in their own sweet time and for a reason they are unlikely to share.

If they decided to get married I will be very happy for the whole family. Brad & Angie deserve each other. They are so in love.

Not at all. I don’t think they are right. I mean… they are always wrong and as you said they might get married in 10 years time. Who knows?!!!! I personally think, they will get married sometime but not now. I don’t think Angelina is one chick that would get married while preggers! But again, i could be wrong!

I hope they don’t get married. Look at the track record in hollywood. No one stays married. They are fine they way they are. They don’t need any paper to validate their commitment or to satisfy us because we want them to.

btw i heard that this boat there were supposed to marry on is in the dock for the next 6 months, but i´m not sure wether its the truth or just a story. only few marriages, the least Hollywoodmarriages last….

Sherry….My sister is the one that told me about Ange being on one of those daytime shows and she said that Angie did admit to carrying twins.I really don’t know,I am at work all day.I wish them the best,whatever they decide to do. Like I said,it’s their lives.
