Video Footage of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt at Santa Barbara Film Festival
Here’s some wonderful video footage of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt on the red carpet at the Santa Barbara Film Festival.
Meanwhile, this is just a short clip but it’s a good demonstration of the screaming that occurs when Brad & Angelina show up somewhere!
Meanwhile, when you watch this video of Brad and Angelina arriving at the film festival, I have to say I am amazed that celebrities don’t go blind with all those flashes going off *constantly*.
(thank you to readers Love and jd-in-sb for the video heads’ up)

Thank you Sherry, jd-in-sb! It’s mayhem & pandemonium! I’d probably throw out my dignity & decorum if I were in Angelina & Brad’s presence too. But I feel sorry for them, everybody yelling & screaming, lights literally blinding them. Isn’t there a kinder, gentler, quieter way?

Thank you, thank you Sherry. They were lovely and also justifies how nice they were to their fans. She is so gracious and lovely. Brad must be very proud of her.

Thanks so much Sherry. Things I would normally not be able to see, I find through your site. You’re right though, all that screaming and all those flashes must give celebs some kind of a headache at the very least. Still, it was nice to see Brad and Angie entertaining their fans.

Wow! That was great. I am so proud to be a fan of such talented, caring people like Angelina and Brad who go to their FANS first before walking the red carpet. Some celebrities don’t even give autographs and ignore their fans at events. The interview with those two kids were also very sweet…Brad was very kind to them & it probably made the kids year! LOVE THEM!!

Angelina Jolie’s Onstage Revelations

With Brad Pitt in the audience and her latest director Clint Eastwood to present her with the Santa Barbara International Film Festival’s Outstanding Performance of the Year Award for A Mighty Heart, Angelina Jolie signed autographs and posed for photos Saturday night with scores of fans who filled the streets.
She then took to the stage to discuss her career and reveal a few candid nuggets from her off-screen life.
Among Angelina’s revelations:
• She retains fond memories of sharing a single acting scene in Tomb Raider with her father Jon Voight, from whom she’s currently estranged. “Strangely enough, the scene was about a daughter and her father who had not spent their lives together and had a lot of questions for each other …[It was] kind of therapeutic for us to get some things out and talk. We spent that time as two artists, and it was a special time. It was an important time.”
• When her ex-husband and Pushing Tin costar Billy Bob Thornton was mentioned, she said, “I thought he was an amazing artist, and still is.”
• Prior to screening the famous tango scene clip from Mr. & Mrs. Smith, she was asked if she or Pitt was the better dancer: “I think we’re about equal,” she replied. “Equally not so good.”
• Despite starring in several high-tech productions, she’s technologically challenged in real life: “As Brad knows, I don’t really how to turn on a computer.”
• After back-to-back clips featuring romantic scenes with Brad in Mr. & Mrs. Smith and her and Matt Damon in The Good Shepherd, Jolie said she looked like she was “out on one date and went out on another.” Given the choice between former [Pitt] and current [Damon] holders of PEOPLE’s “Sexiest Man Alive” title, she said, “I’m going with the first one.”
• Both she and Pitt were initially reluctant to take on their roles in Mr. & Mrs. Smith, but “obviously I’m very glad I did it – It changed my life.”
• Asked if her humanitarian efforts were an even greater passion than acting, she chose a third alternative: “I love being a mom, and I think that’s my big passion: being with my family.”

‘Jolie, who wore a black blouse and loose-fitting floor-length skirt, looked lean, and not obviously pregnant. Publicists asked red-carpet reporters not to ask about Jolie about reports she may be with child again. ‘
this was from the article above.
Why would their publicists want the reporters to avoid this question if there was nothing to hide?….hmmmm

–cat, maybe because Angelina - like gazillions of actors/stars (with the exception of the Britneys, Parises, Lindsays, Laurens, etc. etc.) - are tired of wasting time being asked gazillions of times about rumors/gossip/lies about their *personal* lives.
–maybe because those actors are there to talk about their work - which isn’t the same as being a celebrity.
–maybe because contrary to what tabs/paps/fans/public believe, actors/celebrities *do* have a right to privacy, just like the rest of us. The U.S. Constitution & Bill of Rights doesn’t say ‘everyone has a right to privacy, except famous people like celebrities.’
–maybe because, as far as I know, no celebrities have signed a contract saying they give up their privacy in exchange for working as an entertainer.
Honestly, I get so fed up when entertainment ‘journalists’ focus on people’s personal lives and don’t even talk about their work as an actor/musician/etc. Don’t waste my time on such stupidity – or as Angelina says, silliness. Give me substance.
Could that possibly be it, mmmmm?

answer to Cat’s post under moderation - hope Sherry approves it since I made important points about actors vs. celebrities vs. right to privacy.

You made a good point ligaya. I was just kinda hoping that they didnt want the question to be asked because she is pregnant and wasn’t ready to tell the world.
I completely respect their rights to privacy. And I do love hearing about their projects and their work…but it is more interesting to watch or read when we get a small glimpse of their personal life as well. Angie has been asked that question before and she was never shy about responding with a resounding ‘no’. But maybe you are right she may just be tired of hearing about this question a gazillion times.
I am still hoping for another Jolie-Pitt baby. If not now maybe sometime very soon.
