Wanted Poster
Have you seen the amazing new poster for Wanted?! Angelina Jolielooks ready to kick someone’s booty from here to next week.
The movie comes out at the end of next June. Summertime is full of a lot of outdoor activities like BBQs and live music in back yards but I might have to make an exception and go see Wanted!

I actually really like the fact they didn’t cover up her own tattoos. Even though they obviously added some for the movie.

Yeah, I wonder where we might be able to buy a copy of this poster. It’s really nice, and I really cannot wait to see this movie. It would be nice to see hottie James too (though Brad still tops, he he he).

She has the most expressive profile. Her eyes are very dramatic.

I don’t know, but I often wonder what Angelina truly thinks of the movies she makes. We all need a job, and that’s what she does, but through her travels with the UN, Angie certainly has seen the havoc, pain and emotional suffering that guns wreak on our world. Considering the transformation her work with the UN has had on her life, I wonder if she simply does violent movies for the money and divorces herself from the ethical dilemma they might pose? Not that she should give up working because those kind of movies are the ones that want her….

Well I’m obsessed with playing with fire. I know its a bad habit but the point is that even though I know fire can destroy peoples homes and life I still play with it because its what I like. But when I do play with it I make sure nothing is damaged.
So I’m guessing her, Angie loves making movies and as long as its not hurting anyone its okay. Because we know the shooting scenes in movies are mostly hollywood magic.

Passerby;
well done, but I don’t think Liz wanted a reasonable answer. The point to her post was the last part:-
“Not that she should give up working because those kind of movies are the ones that want her….”
Liz conveniently forgets that Angie also did Changeling last year and A Mighty Heart before that…2 dramas and 1 action. Her next film maybe another drama-Atlas Shrugged.

Well, I don’t know if we can realistically expect Angelina to solve global wars & violence – including in the U.S. And would it be fair to? Plus, what do her action films have to do with real violence? There’s a huge ongoing debate that hasn’t been settled yet: does violence beget media violence, or the other way around? Maybe it’s both.
I read last week that Angelina loves making action movies because “my boys love them…they think it’s cool.” I myself am thrilled that she’s the only actress that can open an action movie (I love Halle Berry, but Catwoman anyone?). I also read that after making AMH and Marcheline’s death, Angelina wanted a break from serious movies as a release, otherwise she’d end up in bed with the covers over her head.
Angelina’s been good at mixing up movies with gravitas & ones without. She’s not the only one: Dame Helen Mirren in National Treasure (after winning Best Actress In The Queen), Cate Blanchett in Indiana Jones, Edward Norton in the Hulk, Christian Bale & Heath Ledger in Dark Knight, Robert Downey, Jr. in Ironman. It’d be a shame if Angie gave up being an action hero – I love seeing her kick butt. She’s kind of like a female Sean Connery in the Bond movies. And Diana Rigg as Mrs. Peel in the Avengers. GRRRRRL POWER!
Anyway, this year she has 3 movies out: The Changeling (already getting Oscar-buzz in the industry), Wanted – summer popcorn movie, and Kung Fu Panda – maybe this one’s for her girls.
