What Brad and Angelina do – A video to remember what’s important

Lately I’ve been posting about the silliest of the silly tabloid headlines so that we can have a laugh. This week I thought I would skip it because we’ve had such a profound conversation over the Vogue issue that came out (313 comments right now, you guys are awesome!) that I thought maybe we could all use a break from the he said/she said/they said media circus game.
PittWatch reader Melodie linked to a video that I had to share here.
I love this video for so many reasons. First of all, I love the song “Iris” so that helps a lot! But what I love is the way it shows Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie helping so many people. During the chorus they flash to some tabloid headlines declaring huge drama, but then they go back to showing the two of them building houses, helping refugees, playing with children in third world countries. It’s very significant because it underlines what Angelina has always said about how she can’t be bothered to read the nasty headlines. They don’t have time to care what the rumor of the day is when they’re so busy with more important things.
I love how the video ends, showing them together, so obviously in love and with their kids. Unfortunately the video is a couple of years old so there aren’t any photos of Pax, Knox, or Vivienne, but there’s a little Shiloh, and plenty of Maddox and Zahara.
It’s a great video and I think you’ll all enjoy it. Have a great weekend!

It is so funny that you post this because all week I have been a little bit stressed about how the media is attacking Angie and Brad and X is getting so much support for her stupid remark….But it helps sometimes to take a step back and realize that Brad and Angie are in love with each other and with their kids and nothing and no one is going to get on their way in their happiness. The world could fall apart, but they are strong and none of this crap affects them. I am glad that they are in Germany, away from all of this mess.
OT Can anyone tell me who is the pittwatcher who has the website on Angie’s fashion? I love Angie’s sense of style so I would love to visit the website..tia!!
That’s one of the reasons why I love this couple. I’m glad they don’t read the trash that the tabloids are writing about them. May God always keep them safe & happy together.
What a wonderful tribute to Brad and Angie about the great humanitarian works that they have been doing and stark contrast to the tabloid and media circus! I agree with you Sherry and Blessbrangelina about how it does put things in perspective. Thank you for sharing it. Take care y’all! Peace out

Love it. Very touching video. When i see things like that it really makes me hate the media. They talk so much rubbish about Brad and Ange and i’m glad we can all see through it. A kind, warm, loving, generous, gentle and beautiful couple. I know Brad and Angelina will make so many people’s lives different and have an effect on so many. Even me. When i see these two people i can’t help but be inspired by all the wonderful things they do and how to live my life happy and filled with love. They are two very inspirational people. I just saw Changeling and it was wonderful. There is so much more story than the trailers suggest, I was just blown away. What a great story, it’s hard to believe it actually happened. Angie was awesome. One reviewer said she “shimmered” in Changeling. What a perfect description!

angelina is apparently going to be on u.k morning t.v 2morrow (monday 17th nov) GMTV and on BBC radio 5live 2morrow between 1-4 p.m. not sure if this is live or pre-recorded as there were pics of vans and a jet in berlin, but i am not sure when those photos were taken so either angelina has left brad and/or kids in berlin to go to london all of monday or these interviews have been pre-recorded or angelina will do the interviews from berlin.

Thank you Sherry & Melodie. What an inspiring family. This means, they will probably go to another third world country too (for thanksgiving weekend). I am taking part of the afternoon off on Tuesday to watch Brad’s interview.

Jen should learn to in marriage not only one is at fault.
Jen should just move on and accept the fact that she was the one who pushed Brad away from her.
Even before Mr & Mrs Smith, they have problems with her marriage, for she focus so much on making millions of dollars and worry that if she get pregnant, it will affect her fame. She is not on the same level as Brad for Brad desperately wanting a family.
You could not blame Brad for falling in love with Angie. She is not only beautiful but beautiful inside inspite of her black past. Brad & Angie are soul mates, they have the same goal and very happy in making a difference to the world.
I wonder why Oprah changed the date of the Brad show. I sincerely hope it wasn’t out of spite for Brad and/or support for Jen due to the Vogue comments and Jen’s own Oprah interview that aired last week!
Thanks for the slide show. It depicts how much they care about each other. You see it glaringly! It’s truly a love story played out right before our eyes. Their passion for children and their humanitarian interests intensify their bond. Good for them!

I think it´s great that this post in centered around their charity work and family. I haven´t watched the video yet but I´m gonna do it pretty soon. Angie and Brad are great and loving paernts to their beautiful children. They deserve all the happiness in this world. It´s good that they don´t have time or energy to read all those tabloid stories that are written about them almost daily. They have much bigger issues to handle. They have children of their own and they are serious about their humanitarian work. Some would say that they´re only doing it for free PR but that isn´t the case. Angie is serious with her work with refugees and Brad is serious with his work in rebuilding of New Orleans. If they would be doing this for PR they would have ended it a long time ago. Besides they want their children to continue their humanitarian work one day. I think that is very noble. Maybe some of them will. God bless the Jolie-Pitt family now and always!
Haven´t watched the video yet but I´´ m gonna do it as soon as possible. These two are meant to be together and raise their children to share their values. The charity work is very important to them both and they love to do it. Thank God they don´t care about the tabloid rumors that surround them. Now that they´re back in Europe they can live a normal life and concentrate on the most in´mportant thing in their lives:their children. Naturally they do it US too but here in Europe they can do it more freely. God bless the JPs now and always!

This is what I also think about them everytime I see pics of them being lovey-dovey to each other. I mean, their sweetness is not gross yet it’s full of love & so natural just like teenagers. I think it is the very first time they felt this very special kind of love despite their age & vast experiences in the love department. Even with simple things they do together, we can see the joy and love in their eyes. That’s why I agree with someone who posted earlier that he/she really liked it even just their pics of them holding hands together. To think that they are the Alpha Male & Alpha Female or the Sexiest Male/Female in the whole world, just simple gestures of love such as holding hands, cuddling, whispering, staring at each other, are making us swoon. Simple gestures as opposed to what we see on other showbiz couples do in public, are just enough to make us smile and say ” ohhh, how sweet!”. Effortless sweetness & affection is very evident in the photos taken of them. That’s why I could just imagine when these two are in the privacy of their room. If love is very apparent in their simple but romantic ways, how much more when they are alone in private!

Well here it is a new week and we are still rehashing JA’s remarks. I just finished watching part 1 of JA on Oprah and part 1 was enough for me. I just felt that I was watching someone playing the part of some girl who was just so happy and cute. Not a 40 year old woman. It also brought to mind a remark that Jennifer made before the pictures of the twins came out. And I am not quoting this exactly but it was something about hoping that the twins were cute, because you know we all want our babies to be cute. When I read that remark I just shook my head and thought boy is that a stupid remark to make. Who cares what babies look like, yes we all would love to have beautiful babies, but first we only care if they are healthy. I know that there was something between JA and her Mom when she was young, about JA looks. JA has not reached a stage in her life when she could get past looks and think about serious things in life. I hope that some day she will find happiness and then start really being happy. And I will say again that John Meyer is not the man to help her attain that.

I think Catherine is beautiful, and talented as an actress, singer and dancer. And all the actresses are beautiful and talented to one degree or another. I have a feeling fans of X – who isn’t on the list – might be voting for Catherine.
This isn’t that important, but it’s part of the propaganda war against Angie. I encourage you to vote, at least post a comment. If you also visit other pro-Angie sites like souliejolie, would you please share this info?
I’m not saying Angie can catch up, although adding to her numbers would be nice. What’s more important is reminding people of her good points and contributions.

Filming her Lara Croft movie in Cambodia opened her eyes to the shocking difference between her privileged life and the poverty she saw – especially the child victims of landmines. That led to her adopting her Cambodian eldest son Maddox and working as a UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador since 2001- traveling to two dozen countries on fact-finding missions and using her celebrity status to bring the world’s attention to the plight of refugees.
She also donated millions of dollars to help children and women from Katrina survivors in New Orleans, children in the Ozarks, of U.S. servicemen/women, Iraq, Ethiopia, Cambodia, Africa, Asia, wildlife sanctuaries, all sorts of great causes.
(And to say that a woman who just turned 33 four months ago is past her prime is beyond ridiculous. What next, a woman in her 20s is past her prime, in her teens, a kid?)

This is another instance why it’s ridiculous for anybody to mention X in the same sentence with Angie’s name. It’s just absurd.

Angelina Jolie blinked back tears today as she told journalists in London that her role in new film Changeling reminded her of her late mother.
The actress, visiting the UK to promote the Clint-Eastwood directed movie which opens next week, said her character, whose son goes missing, was similar to her actress mother Marcheline Bertrand, who died from cancer in 2007.
Tears welled in Jolie’s eyes and her voice broke as she remembered her mother . . .
I believe that Angie has said before the interview with matt on today show like in 2006 that she could not wait to get to work and that she fell in love with brad while filming mr and mrs smith and it was in all the magazine’s. so what it the big deal now. if she did fall in love on set of the movie then she did not act on it until the separation. if her marriage was so solid then she would not have lost brad.

I love all their videos, especially the ones showing their love and their family, and above all the ones showing their love for the family of man – their humanitarian work.
Melodie, I saw Changeling twice the first weekend but since then I was too busy with pre-election and post-election work. Mom told me she really wants to see it so we’ll take her when we go to San Diego for xmas. We’ll also see CCBB on Xmas Day.
My mom is so cute – she’s been wearing the Team Angelina t-shirts I gave her that I outgrew. I wonder if anybody has said anything to her what with the “uncool” controversy.
Changeling had the highest per screen earnings on the October 24th weekend. It was estimated #4 when it opened wide on Halloween weekend, but really finished #3. It finished #4 last weekend and #5 this past weekend. Decent numbers given its subject matter and competition.

Thank you for this beautiful video! It brought tears to my eyes. It shows a completely new side of Brad and Angie. In those shorts interview clips they tell about the love they feel for each other and their children. It also shows that God meant these two together. They love not only each other but also their children very much and also love to do the charity work. Also the haters should watch this video. It may change their opinion of this beautiful couple. What I also loved about this video was the song (´Iris´). It was the perfect song for this video.
